A British person is someone from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. They may quite commonly also refer to themselves or be referred to through their specific area within the United Kingdom, i.e. English, Welsh, Scottish, or Ulster (also Northern Irish). The last one of those is specially problematic due to the complex nationality identity issues in Northern Ireland, and Ulster citizens are also entitled to see themselves as Irish since 1998's Good Friday Agreement.
