Hopkins Breaks Landmark & School Record in 3000m as Track & Field Competes at AARTFC Indoor Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. - The University of Scranton track & field team posted several strong performances at the AARTFC Indoor Championships this weekend hosted by Ithaca College.

Junior Emily Hopkins - 3000m
  • Hopkins set a new Landmark Conference and school record in the women's 3000m with a time of 10:03.06. The previous record was held by Jessica Hoffmann (10:03.45).
  • She finished second overall out of 29 competitors.
Junior Molly White - Pentathlon
  • White broke her own record in the Pentathlon with a score of 3211. 
  • She set a PR in the 60m hurdles (9.36) and a season best in the long jump (4.97m).
Sophomore Callie Gorman - 3000m
  • Finished 16th overall in the women's 3000m with a PR of 10:34.60.
Senior Christian Snee - 800m
  • Snee placed 13th out of 25 in the men's 800m with a season best time of 1:57.06.
