University of Scranton

Tom is a graduate of the University of Scranton and was a member of the men’s basketball team from 1981-1983. During that time, the men’s team won the conference championship all 3 years. In 1982, Tom led the conference in scoring, was named All-Conference and All-American. In 1983, Tom served as team captain. He was again named All-Conference and helped lead the Royals to not only another conference championship, but the national championship. Tom scored 1,057 points in his career. He was inducted into The University's Wall of Fame in 1992. Tom’s wife Melanie is also a Scranton graduate. Mel was a member of the Lady Royals basketball team where she served as captain. She was also voted all-conference, scored over 1,000 points and is 4th all-time in rebounds.
