The International Coaching Federation defines eight Core Competencies for the coaching profession, which serve as the foundation of their credentialing process. During my training, these competencies were emphasized, particularly "maintaining presence" to notice shifts in energy and "evoking awareness" to observe those aha moments. After many coaching hours, reflecting on my experiences, I received positive client feedback about how a powerful question could trigger deep introspection or how the coaching experience felt like a revelation. However, my own breakthrough came with a client who initially claimed everything was going well and saw no need for change. And while I almost wanted to end the session, I remembered our facilitator's words, “there are no bad clients, only bad coaches,” and decided to persist. This led to a remarkable breakthrough. Moments later, I observed a significant shift as the client paused, their expressions changed, and they opened up about their true feelings and the importance of addressing them. We went from an uncertain start to a meaningful session, where the client not only identified actionable steps but also took the initiative to document and share them with me. That day, I grew as a coach and reaffirmed my commitment to bringing value to others’ lives, discovering in the process how much value this journey brought to me as well. Persisting and truly listening can lead to profound insights, emphasizing the transformative impact of effective coaching on both the client and the coach. #WithAWill

Studies show that diverse teams outperform homogeneous ones by 35%, yet unconscious biases can hinder diversity efforts. Additionally, 82% of managers acknowledge unconscious bias impacts hiring decisions. Addressing biases fosters inclusivity, with 87% of employees reporting they feel more included when their manager is aware of their biases.
