Description

The filamentous fungi culture collection available through this resource includes predominantly Portuguese isolates from research in biodegradation and biodeterioration, air and drinking water quality and the presence of mycotoxins in food products. Penicillium and Aspergillus are the most represented genera in diversity of species and in number of strains. The collection contains isolates from several regions in Portugal: Minho, Douro, Beira Alta, Ribatejo, Estremadura, Alentejo and Madeira. As digitising of records proceeds there will be future new additions.
