LFV Aviation Consulting AB (LAC) and Independent Business Group Sweden AB (IBG) have signed a framework agreement to share resources and cooperate in international projects. Aviator Airport Alliance AB, a subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group ― the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Danish ACMI and charter airline, Jettime. 👏✈️ Under this agreement, Aviator will provide ground handling services for Jettime at Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) for the next 3 years. The new contracts extend Aviator's collaboration with Jettime, which already includes services at Göteborg Landvetter (GOT) and Malmö (MMX) airports, as well as de-icing services at Copenhagen Airport. Casper Olhoff Dons, Chief Commercial Officer at Aviator, said, “We are proud to expand our collaboration and support Jettime’s operations across more key Nordic airports. Avinor recorded a total of 4.15 million passengers across our network of airports during April. Cargo is showing great performance, especially at Oslo airport with a large volume increase. So far this year 59,755 tons where transported over the airport compared to last year (+15%). Elfly Group announced a partnering with the government of Gotland, Sweden, to pursue its goal of zero-emission commercial flights to the island by 2027. Both parties recently signed a Letter of Intent to explore deeper collaboration. Located in the Baltic Sea off Sweden’s east coast, Gotland is the largest of Sweden’s islands, some 90km east of the mainland. Norwegian Q1 came in with a loss, as expected, and for the first time the financial report included Wideroe. Q1 is the most challenging quarter in the year for airlines in Europe and North-America, regardless of LCC or network segment, Q1 is destined to end up with a deficit, with only a few exceptions. Delta is yet the only airline having reported a positive bottom line for Q1 2024 and I will be surprised if any other major airline in Europe and North-America reports positive Q1 on EBIT level. Norwegian Q1 KPIs in NOK and vs LY (excluding Wideroe). Pax 3,9/ 3,8m - ASK 6,2/ 6,0m - RPK 5,2/4,8m - LF 84,7/80,9% - Revenues total 4,6bn/3,9bn - Yield incl ancillary 0,87/0,78 - Rask incl ancillary 0,73/0,63 - Cask 0,61/0,55 - Cask incl fuel 0,85/0,80 - EBITDAR +178m/-154m - EBIT -740m/-916m - EBT -830m/-992m - Liquidity 10,4bn/8,6bn - NIBD 5,8bn/4,0bn. Unit revenues show a positive development YoY. CASK ex fuel impacted by major ramp-up costs for S24 taken/booked in Q1. Operational excellence continues for Norwegian, thus keeping in mind Wideroe is also operating very well, taken into consideration the challenging operational environment Wideroe meets every day. Outlook (my views) April demand is soft, driven by early Easter (March). Booking trend S24 is good and revenues expected to surpass 2019 level, with fare levels up low/mid single digit YoY. On target for FY24 Cask ex fuel goal. 87 aircraft scheduled for S24 peak season, slightly below planned (90) due to delayed deliveries from Boeing. Compensation to be received from Boeing. Wet lease of 1 B737, mainly as a spare ac, might be realized for S24 peak season.
