Evidence Based Acquisition (EBA)
With the Evidence Based Acquisition (EBA) purchase option, you decide on your acquisitions based on usage data after a 12-month access period. This is an effective way to expand your library's collection while retaining full control over your purchasing decisions.

Benefit from liberal, multi-user, remote-access DRM. In addition to the standard PDF versions, you also receive all available ePub versions.
Get unlimited access to our eBook portfolio, including titles from our imprints and selected Publisher Partners such as Columbia University Press and Harvard University Press.
Benefit from automatic additions of new publications to your EBA access at no additional cost.
We offer monthly customized MARC records, targets for indexing partners and COUNTER usage reports.
At the end of the EBA period, we provide a comprehensive usage report to assist with your title selection.
How Does EBA Work?
- Select a Custom Package: Firstly, our team will work with you to create a list of titles ideally suited for your institution. We offer a wide range of options to meet your specific requirements: Choose titles from our comprehensive packages or English-only packages.
- Access Period: Upon payment of the EBA fee, we activate your package for 12 months and provide you with the relevant metadata. Your users will then have access to all selected content for a year. During this time, you will receive regular usage statistics, such as COUNTER data. New titles are automatically added to your package, and we can supply the updated metadata sets on a monthly basis if needed.
- Title Purchase: At the end of the year, we will provide you with final usage statistics, detailed bibliographic information, and pricing. Based on this data, you have 90 days to determine which titles to purchase. Our Sales Teams are available to assist with the evaluation of the usage statistics. The administrative fee for the EBA trial will be credited towards your purchases.
