This flag has been made for the MRC de Lotbinire by David Ct. Each element and each color has one or more symbols. The large white band that crosses it represents the Saint Lawrence River which passes from Leclercville towards Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly. The choice of colors and lines: yellow, blue and green represent as much agriculture, forests, rows and water as the history of the region which brings together descendants of several nations, including France and Ireland. A fleur-de-lys that evokes Quebec is in the upper left corner. We cannot say that it is the flag of a Quebec region by not putting a fleur-de-lis. It represents us, it represents the language we speak and defend.

The project has been submitted to the MRC. It was presented to the executive as the initiative of a young person from the region. If the organization welcomes his initiative and encourages him to continue, he was told that the adoption of a flag was not part of the short-term plans. The MRC de Lotbinire has had a new logo for a few years and a new territorial identity will be unveiled at the beginning of 2023.
