The book has so many dark and disturbing moments, and it is dark in many different ways. The intensity of it all really makes you feel for the characters and what happened. Elie Wiesel saw so many horrible things like a woman being sexually assaulted, or when he knew he was seeing his family for the last time because they were going to be burned alive. Finally, this novel was so informative. You find out so many more things than you would’ve never known happened. Some things the book tells you are even very horrifying, like babies being thrown into the air and shot and killed very early on. The information you find out is so riveting and it really sticks with you in a way.The book is very worthwhile, and if you don't like reading books, you can watch a movie based on the holocaust, it could be very similar. This book should always be kept in all schools' curriculum, from now to forever.
