Girls Cross Country Rankings: Cardinal Gibbons, Union County trio head up preseason HSOT Top 25
HighSchoolOT has released its preseason girls cross country rankings for the 2024 North Carolina high school season.
Defending 4A champion Cardinal Gibbons returns almost its entire top-seven and is our No. 1 team in the state. Three Union County schools — Cuthbertson, Weddington, and Marvin Ridge — are bunched together right thereafter.
The top-ranked teams by classification are as follows: No. 7 North Lincoln (3A), No. 8 Charlotte Country Day (NCISAA 4A), No. 9 Swain County (1A), No. 25 NCSSM-Durham (2A).
The final HSOT rankings are released the week after the state championships.
