From its earliest roots in the East Side of London, 'Rocker' culture has made its way around the globe. The Rockers, the Leather Boys, the Ton-up boys - they and the machines they ride have held our fascination for generations. Whether we have admired or feared the subculture, one thing's for sure: It's an ever-evolving faction writing its own mythology and leaving tread marks on motorcycle culture. Caffeine and Gasoline takes a brief look at the history of the rocker and cafe clubs that started the movement in East London, speaking with Northern Rockers and Ace Cafe patrons. Filmmaker Steven 'Fenix' Maes and his crew spent two years documenting vintage bike enthusiasts, custom bike builders and cafe racer clubs around the United States, searching for what it means to be an American Rocker.

Co-owners and long-time friends, Thaison "Hollywood" Garcia and Steven "Fenix" Maes, face the reality of opening a motorcycle themed coffee shop in the middle of a global pandemic. With a new manager and a couple of new baristas, the kick-off Motorcycle Meetup event may have been more than the shop was prepared for.
