The Runaway

This is the kind of Waltons episode I've reviewed in the past: warm-hearted, a simple tale told lovingly.

Yet, though I've watched this show for years--from its beginnings on prime-time to now on my DVD player--I am still, wondrously, surprised when I sit down to watch an episode like The Runaway: I fear it will be a tad boring, or a tad saccharine. Then, at the end, I get that same feeling of having been transported to a place of warmth and compassion......in short, to home.

The Runaway is another classic episode in my book.
