Michael Crabtree
[[tmz:video id="0_wfmmlhht"]] TMZ Sports might've unearthed 1 of the biggest shockers in NFL friendship history ... 'cause Ricky Williams told us he and Mike Ditka will always be bros!!! You remember the trade ... Ditka gave up 8 Picks to draft Ricky to the Saints back in '99 -- but Nola bombed and Da Coach got canned. But Williams says he and Ditka -- differences aside -- are "homies for life" ... 'cause Mike's one of the few guys he can always turn to.

The hardest hit in the first quarter of Sunday's Broncos-Raiders game came during a brawl that started after Aqib Talib tore off Michael Crabtree's gold chain -- Again!!! -- at the end of a play. Talib and Crabtree went at it after the pull and several other players soon joined in on the scuffle. Both players were given unnecessary roughness penalties, before being ultimately ejected from the game. The Raiders' Gabe Jackson was also ejected for pushing an official.

Erin Andrews didn't get to speak with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman after his team crushed the Denver Broncos 43-8 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Sunday, Feb. 2. The Fox Sports broadcaster did, however, get a chance to speak with the athlete late last week. Andrews defended Sherman's post-game interview, which took the internet by storm after his team beat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Jan. 19. As he shouted at Andrews (and then the camera), he also dissed 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. "I'm the best corner in the game!" the NFL player yelled. "When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that's the result you're going to get! Don't you ever...

"I'm the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that's the result you're gonna get! Don't you ever talk about me!" It was the postgame rant heard round the country Sunday when victorious Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman went off in an interview with Fox's Erin Andrews. Seconds before, Sherman had tipped a pass intended for 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree, leading to an interception and the end of the Nfc Championship game. Days later, Sherman sat down with CNN's Rachel Nicholas for a full accounting, which you can watch below. After admitting he didn't regret much about it, he struck a conciliatory tone, saying, "I probably shouldn't have attacked another person." While he also called his interview "immature" and said he apologized to his teammates, Sherman lamented the way the media covered the story and explained that it's hard to turn the intensity switch on and off.

Richard Sherman admitted that his Nfc Championship epic postgame rant was “immature” during a CNN “Unguarded” interview with Rachel Nichols on Tuesday. “I probably shouldn’t have attacked another person,” the Seattle Seahawks cornerback told Nichols. ”That was immature and I probably shouldn’t have done that. I regret doing that.” Sherman shared some background on the rivalry between himself and the San Francisco 49ers Michael Crabtree, saying that the wide receiver was rude to him at a charity event last summer. “That’s the short version … we’re gonna keep it clean,” Sherman said. After Sunday night, even the most casual football fans know Richard Sherman's name. The Seattle Seahawks cornerback was just moments removed from making the game-winning play in the Nfc Championship game, when sideline reporter Erin Andrews pulled him over for a brief interview. Most post-game Q&As are tepid, cliché-ridden affairs, but this was something else entirely. In the wake of the interview, Sherman's 20-second clip became a social-media flash point: Some called him a thug (or worse), some brought up Sherman's Stanford education as a shield, while more still pointed out that that was engaging in a shallow form of respectability politics.

The outburst drew some heated, and seriously racist, reactions on social media, leading Sherman to defend himself on Sports Illustrated's Mmqb blog Monday morning.

Sunday marked the greatest day in the American sports calendar. In this year’s marque game, the favoured San Francisco 49ers went up against the Baltimore Ravens in New Orleans.
Coming into the game there was multitude of sub-plots that threatened to overshadow the NFL season finale. With brothers Jim and John Harbaugh opposing coaches, the game was certainly a family affair, and win or lose this was to be the final game of the controversial but legendary Ravens linebacker, Ray Lewis.
The Ravens raced to a 7-3 first quarter lead courtesy of a Flacco touchdown throw to Anquan Boldin, and a redzone stop by the Ravens defence forcing a San Francisco field goal.
The second quarter saw the Ravens increase their lead to 21-6. Baltimore capitalised on two San Francisco turnovers including an interception by New Orleans native Ed Reed. Jacoby Jones finished off the first half with a spectacular 56yd touchdown catch,...

The life story of Temple Grandin is one of hardship and triumph. Grandin was diagnosed with autism as a young child in the early 1950s, an era when her condition was not well understood. With help from her exceptionally patient mother and a few insightful teachers, Grandin overcame most of her autistic limitations. She struggled to get an education, but earned a doctorate and is now an autism treatment advocate, Colorado State University professor, and renowned expert in animal husbandry.
Such an inspirational and thoroughly unique story is, of course, tailor-made for a cinematic treatment. Fortunately, this treatment is Temple Grandin, a much-lauded HBO Films biopic nominated for an astounding 15 Emmy Awards.
