Mike Vitar played the legendary Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez in the 1993 cult classic The Sandlot, but his role was recast in the movie's two direct-to-video sequels. While the first sequel, The Sandlot 2, focused on an entirely new cast of characters, the third movie in the franchise heavily featured the Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez character, who acted as the coach of the Sandlot team featured in the movie. Chauncey Leopardi, who played Michael "Squints" Palledorous, reprised his role in The Sandlot: Heading Home, but Vitar was replaced by actor Danny Nucci.
The Sandlot was generally well-received by critics, and has gained notoriety as a cult classic and coming-of-age movie. The direct-to-video sequels garnered much less favorable reviews, which isn't surprising given how far removed The Sandlot 2 was from the original. As a legacy sequel, some of the original characters returned for The Sandlot: Heading Home (and it did have a lot more potential). However,...

Titanic featured a variety of characters from both the first and third-class sides of the ship, and many of them can be spotted at the end of the movie when Rose (Kate Winslet) returns to the Titanic in what is understood to be her version of heaven. In 1997, James Cameron brought the disaster drama movie Titanic, which at the time became the most expensive movie ever made and with good reason, as Cameron paid attention to every single detail while recreating the Titanic and telling the stories of Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet).
Taking the real-life sinking of the Rms Titanic as inspiration, Titanic tells the fictional love story of Jack and Rose and how they defended their romance from those who looked down on them, and along the way, they met and interacted with different characters from both first and third-class. At the end of Titanic,...

(To celebrate "Titanic" and its impending 25th-anniversary re-release, we've put together a week of explorations, inquires, and deep dives into James Cameron's box office-smashing disaster epic.)
On April 12, 1912, Fabrizio De Rossi was crushed to death by one of the smokestacks of the Rms Titanic. To that, I say: good riddance! Fabrizio is a fictional character in James Cameron's romance-disaster epic "Titanic," and gosh is he annoying. As played by Danny Nucci, Fabrizio is the best buddy of Jack Dawson, played, of course, by Leonardo DiCaprio. We first meet Fabrizio when he's playing cards with Jack. They're not playing for money, though. No, the winner of this card game scores two third-class tickets on the Titanic, which, wouldn't ya know it, is getting ready to leave! Hurry up, boys! You'll miss your date ... with destiny.
After some fakery on Jack's part (he's such a scamp!), the blonde beauty reveals that...

Among the impressive ensemble of characters in James Cameron's 1997 epic "Titanic," one of the most endearing is Fabrizio (Danny Nucci), bestie of Leonardo DiCaprio's Jack Dawson. The pair wins their tickets aboard the doomed America-bound ocean liner in a card game; standing at the ship's bow, Fabrizio claims to be able to see the Statue of Liberty already – "Very small, of course."
Over the movie's six-month shoot, Nucci's character would have as full of an arc as you could get in a disaster picture: he gets a ticket to America, dances below decks, and tragically perishes along with scores of other passengers and crew. But the death scene in the final product — in which Fabrizio is crushed by one of the ship's...

The film stars David Gridley, Vince Hill-Bedford, Eric Etebari, William Lee Scott, Steffani Brass, Tyler Clark, and Jason Sweat; as well as Danny Nucci, John Beasley and Tony Todd. It looks like there's much more going on than just this serial killer. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Benjamin Louis' Stoker Hills,...

The Firestarter reboot has found its lead star in Zac Efron. In the works at Blumhouse for years, the upcoming remake is written by Scott Teems. Following initial reports that Fatih Akin would be directing the new take on the classic Stephen King horror story, it has since been confirmed that Keith Thomas has signed on to helm the movie. Progress must now be moving along swimmingly at this point, as Efron's casting shows that the cast of the remake is now starting to take shape.
Like the original movie, Efron's Firestarter is inspired by the Stephen King novel of the same name. The remake also seems to have a storyline very similar to the book as well as the 1984 movie adaptation, although it's possible the new take may introduce some significant changes. Per the official logline: "A young girl develops pyrokinetic abilities and is abducted by a secret government...

One of the best things about the never-ending fascination with Titanic is that a new behind-the-scenes fact seems to come out about the 1997 film every year. From discovering that Matthew McConaughey was originally supposed to play Jack instead of Leonardo DiCaprio, to the fact Celine Dion's iconic "My Heart Will Go On" almost never happened, it seems there's no shortage of fun facts still waiting to be revealed. And now, we have another one to add to our list: apparently DiCaprio hated one of the film's most iconic lines.
While sitting down with BBC's Movies That Made Me series, director James Cameron got on the subject of Jack's famous scene at the bow of the ship with his friend Fabrizio (Danny Nucci), where he shouts, "I'm the king of the world!"
"It was made up on the spot. I was in a crane basket, and we were losing the light.

One episode was provided prior to broadcast.
It’s hard to mention The Fosters, which returns to Freeform on Monday Jan, 25 for the second installment of its third season, without a discussion of diversity. Since its premiere, the show has been lauded for its diverse cast and portrayal of relationships not often seen on television – particularly on teen TV – such as same-sex relationships and those in a mixed and blended family.
Moreover, the show has always used what makes it different – its fearlessness in representing a wide range of issues that affect real teens (and not just the wealthy, white ones) – to create type of drama necessary to fuel and sustain a long-running soap. Unfortunately, the Foster family enters the second half of the third season on shaky ground, and the show itself follows suit – with a lackluster episode that wavers rather than building to an exciting finish.

'Jurassic World' velociraptor kicks Iron Man ass at worldwide box office. 'Jurassic World' officially surpasses 'The Avengers' at worldwide box office Directed by Colin Trevorrow; starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Vincent D'Onofrio; and co-executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, Jurassic World has officially become the third biggest worldwide box office hit in history. The Jurassic Park sequel – or reboot, as it's basically the same story with a slightly different twist – has surpassed Marvel's Joss Whedon-directed all-star superhero flick The Avengers, which broke box office records back in 2012. Of course, "officially" just ain't what it used to be – like, in the days before The Fall. So you wisely ask, "But which movie has actually sold the most tickets?" After all, that's the true measure of a film's popularity. Well, that's a tough one to answer without the studios providing accurate, precise numbers. And that's not about to happen. It always...

May 6th marks the ten-year anniversary of the Friends series finale. That night, over 52 million people tuned in to find out how it would all end. Would Ross finally get together with Rachel? Would female characters ever stop moving to Paris when their shows drew to a close? Who actually lived in Rachel and Monica’s apartment? Would coffee ever taste the same again? While we got most of those answers, we were left with a bitter taste in our mouths. Our best friends of the past 10 years left us feeling lonely. Knowing it was time for us to change the channel, the networks rushed to fill the void. Get out the flamethrowers! Paramount Pictures is planning a remake of the 1985 sci-fi family classic Explorers, from Gremlins director Joe Dante.
The original story follows three outcast teenage boys who bond over the creation of a homemade spaceship that sends them into the deepest reaches of the galaxy, where they meet an adolescent alien that has been weaned on TV. Ethan Hawke, River Phoenix and Bobby Fite starred as the three best friends. The movie flopped at the box office, after its release date got moved up and its third act had to be hastily rewritten on the fly. It found a strong second life on VHS to become an 80s classic. Some believe it fell under Steven Spielberg's Amblin Film's banner, but he was not a producer on the movie.
