The Marvel Cinematic Universe had plenty of characters back in the Infinity Saga -- just rewatch the portal scene from "Avengers: Endgame" for an instant reminder -- but things have ballooned to truly gargantuan proportions in the Multiverse Saga. The sheer number of independent sub-series and Disney+ shows has made it basically impossible to keep track of everyone, leaving many characters to fall through the cracks for years at a time.

Such has been the case with White Vision (Paul Bettany), the silvery, S.W.O.R.D.-made copy of the red synthezoid who appears toward the end of "WandaVision" and ... well, nowhere else, so far. In the comics, it's a bit easier to juggle dozens of characters at the same time, but Hollywood makes that incredibly difficult with massive budgets and restrictive shooting and production schedules.

For those reasons, more casual MCU fans may have forgotten about White Vision entirely.

A new image from The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been released, and it features two of the brave astronauts who will venture out into space before gaining their powers. In most iterations of the story, Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) have been friends for a very long time. Their bond is what convinces Grimm to take on the dangerous mission that eventually turns him into The Thing. The new image from The Fantastic Four: First Steps shows the characters before the trip that changes their lives forever. Nothing will ever be the same for Marvel's first family.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps will also feature Vanessa Kirbyas Sue Storm and Joseph Quinnas the character's brother, Johnny. Kirby has displayed her incredible acting skills on The Crown and the Mission: Impossible franchise. Joseph Quinn's popularity grew when he starred as Eddy Munson in the fourth season of Stranger Things.

Hollywood is often portrayed as a hedonistic playground for libertines and opportunists, and, well, it is. But you don't have to be a lousy human being to succeed in the entertainment business. Despite extremely poor box office returns, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s latest superhero movie has become a major hit on streaming. Taylor-Johnson stars alongside Russell Crowe and Christopher Abbott in Kraven the Hunter, the 2024 Sony Marvel film that debuted in December and grossed only $61 million at the global box office against a $110 million budget, making it one of the biggest flops of the year. Over the last five or so hours, Marvel Studios has been confirming who will be starring in the long-awaited upcoming Avengers movie, which has officially begun production. In October 2022, it was announced that Vision Quest was in development, with Jac Schaeffer serving as head writer and executive producer. By May 2023, Eileen Shim had joined the series as a writer as well.

However, Schaeffer shifted her focus to Agatha All Along, and now Vision Quest is being led by Terry Matalas. With Matalas at the helm, this marks Marvel’s first new live-action TV series in nearly two years, signaling a shift in their approach to TV production on Disney+.

Previously, Marvel followed a movie-style model with directors and creative leaders in charge, but starting in 2022, they switched to a more traditional TV model, with longer development timelines and writer-producers as showrunners.

The MCU has had its ups and downs as of late. Captain America: Brave New World may have had a great opening weekend but poor reviews and word of mouth may hold it back. At least in television, the MCU is going strong.

That included Agatha All Along, which was not only a hit with viewers but critical raves, too. It was a follow-up to WandaVision, the first Disney+ Marvel show, and a showcase for the scene-stealing witch Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn. 

The series followed Agatha regaining her memories and going a journey for power alongside a pack of witches and a mysterious man named Teen (Joe Locke). From there, fans were treated to a series of music, twists and amazing set pieces. 

The show seemed to be a one-and-done limited series.

The 2011 vampire hunter film Priest failed to sink its teeth into the box office but that hasn’t stopped fan interest in another go with Priest 2: Faithless Dawn.

Paul Bettany led the cast of Priest, a movie in which the man behind Marvel’s Vision starred as a man of the cloth who wasn’t afraid to bust a few vampiric heads when his niece (played by Lily Collins) is kidnapped by a pack of bloodthirsty dracs.

It might be slightly surprising that there is any demand at all for another Priest film. The first movie, which lurked into theaters on May 13, 2011, a mere two weeks after the MCU’s Thor, certainly didn’t light the world on fire.

Captain America: Brave New World opens in theaters this week. The Marvel Cinematic Universe movie formally introduces Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) as the new Captain America, taking over from the retired Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Wilson first picked up the shield in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but this is his first outing as Captain America on the big screen.

The film is directed by Julius Onah and written by the teams of Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, and Onah and Peter Glanz. The cast includes Danny Ramirez as the new Falcon, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (taking over the role from the late William Hurt), who makes a much-anticipated transformation into Red Hulk in the film — a decision that didn’t sit well with MCU filmmaker Joe Russo.

The HBO series The Franchise gave a satirical behind-the-scenes look at the making of a film that was part of a larger superhero franchise, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC film universes. Ruaridh Mollica had a recurring role on the show, playing a character named Jaz Cox. HBO ended up cancelling The Franchise after just one season – and now, Mollica is moving on from a project that poked fun at superhero franchises to joining a superhero franchise. Deadline reports that Mollica will be entering the MCU with a role in Marvel’s Disney+ series that is either called Vision or Vision Quest.

Deadline’s sources told them that Mollica will be playing a character named Tucker, but some MCU fans aren’t buying it. The speculation going around is that Mollica will actually be playing an older version of Tommy Maximoff, one of the twin sons Wanda Maximoff...

Ruaridh Mollica has joined the cast of Disney+’s new Marvel series Vision, and there’s a big fan theory about the role that he’ll play!

The 25-year-old actor – who has previously appeared in projects such as The Franchise, Sebastian and Witness Number 3 – will appear in the WandaVision spinoff series alongside the likes of Paul Bettany, who plays the titular character.

Deadline confirmed his casting and reported that Ruaridh would play a character named Tucker. However, some fans believe that his character might become someone else.

Disney+ is moving forward with its upcoming series Vision Quest, and some surprising names are attached. The show will bring back the Marvel android, but that’s not the only thing getting attention. The people behind the camera are just as interesting as what’s happening on screen.

Three directors will take charge of the series, each bringing their own touch. Terry Matalas, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard, will not only serve as showrunner but also direct. Alongside him, Christopher J. Byrne and Vincenzo Natali are set to helm episodes.

These two have been involved in major projects before, with Byrne having worked extensively in the Star Trek universe and Natali known for directing the sci-fi horror film Cube.

Marvel Studios' planned Vision series has added another new cast member, and there's already speculation that the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have found its Tommy Maximoff, aka Speed.

Deadline reports that The Franchise and Too Rough actor Ruaridh Mollica has joined the WandaVision spin-off as a character named "Tucker."

Though this Tucker might well be a completely different character, previous rumors have suggested that the Vision series will introduce Billy Maximoff's (Joe Locke) brother, who the newly powered-up Wiccan set off to locate alongside "Ghost Agatha" in the season finale of Agatha All Along.

At 25, Mollica is a little older than Locke (21), but he could convincingly play a teenager.

Exclusive: After recurring on HBO’s The Franchise, which spoofed Marvel-like superhero movies, Ruaridh Mollica is stepping into the MCU with a series regular role in the Marvel superhero series for Disney+ Vision, sources tell Deadline.

The Vision spinoff, headlined by Paul Bettany, is said to take place after the events in WandaVision where the character made a return after Thanos killed him in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. The new series is believed to follow Vision (Bettany) as he tries to regain his memory and humanity.

Mollica will play a character named Tucker. In addition to Bettany, he joins previously cast James Spader, who reprises his MCU role of Ultron, Todd Stashwick, and Faran Tahir, who will reprise the role of Raza.

Vision is the second WandaVision spinoff, following the recent buzzy release Agatha All Along. Next on Marvel’s Disney+ slate is the March debut of Daredevil: Born Again.

After months of anticipation, Marvel Studios has officially introduced Marvel's First Family in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Aside from the first trailer, the studio also revealed a series of posters, but they didn't have the expected reception.
