Michelle Trachtenberg made an impact on the industry as far back as her first leading role in the 1996 comedy movie Harriet the Spy.
The actress, known for later roles on popular television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, was found dead Wednesday at age 39. After gigs as a child actress on such shows as All My Children and The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Trachtenberg landed her feature film debut in Harriet the Spy, which Paramount released on July 10, 1996, when she was 10 years old.
Bronwen Hughes, who directed Harriet the Spy, tells THR that the project was a special one for both herself and her young star, given that the movie was also Hughes’ feature directorial debut. Grant Gustin revealed his initial reaction to The Flash's "Duet" episode. Fans consider that Supergirl crossover a highlight of the Arrowverse, especially Kara Danvers and Barry Allen's musical number.
The Flash was the best show in The CW's Arrowverse. Fans went through a rollercoaster of emotions across nine seasons of The Flash, especially its crossover episodes. Season 3's "Duet" caught audiences by surprise, however; the plot involved Kara Danvers and Barry Allen trapped in a musical dreamworld. "Duet" was surreal because it broke from the show's grounded narrative, but audiences loved the novelty. Critics praised "Duet" for its lighthearted tone and endearing ensemble, but Grant Gustin had reservations about filming that episode; he told Michael Rosenbaum that "Duet" was an odd turn for the show.

Arrow stars Emily Bett Rickards and David Ramsey have revealed their favorite Arrowverse crossover. Starring Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, The CW series spawned a universe of interconnected shows, including The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman, with Supergirl and Black Lightning eventually joining the fold.
Rickards and Ramsey were at Megacon, where the pair responded to Cbr's question regarding which show they most enjoyed crossing over with the most. "I liked going to The Flash because they were so happy over there," Rickards said. Ramsey discussed the difficult logistics and problems with tonality that came with making The Flash and Arrow crossovers happen but still enjoyed them. He especially enjoyed seeing Amell in Grant Gustin's Flash suit. "They were logistical nightmares," he said. "The Flash was on the other side of the wall and couldn't be more different. It was bright and had milkshakes. Stephen in the Flash suit.

Having played the iconic DC character the Flash longer than anyone, Grant Gustin has now given insight into how he kept the Scarlet Speedster fresh for so long. Gustin played the Barry Allen incarnation of the character in The CW's The Flash for nine seasons and also appeared in crossovers and other shows across the Arrowverse.
Gustin told Cbr at Megacon that the show retained its freshness because he took the responsibility of playing the Flash seriously. "It was never an intentional thought about how to keep it fresh," he began. "I'm a very scene-by-scene actor. I wanted to keep it realistic. The only reason I did a decent job with the show is I took it very seriously. Try not to suck." Gustin's dedication to playing the Crimson Comet has always been evident in interactions with fans throughout his years of playing the character in the show that ended its run two years ago.

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for the latest episode of Superman & Lois
The CW’s Superman & Lois is running its final lap with its fourth season. The show has run since 2019 and showed a new side to the superpower couple. Focusing on their familial aspects while also balancing Superman’s usual adventures, the series received acclaim but was deemed too expensive to continue making.
While Henry Cavill has lately received a resurgence in fanfare, especially after his replacement, David Corenswet, one scene in the latest episode of Superman & Lois showed why Tyler Hoechlin is no less. The scene even presented a better way to handle the secret identity problem that many fans felt was badly done in Man of Steel.

Last November, James Gunn cast Skyler Gisondon as the Dcu's Jimmy Olsen in Superman. However, he's not the only actor to have recently been picked to play the Man of Steel's best pal, as Douglas Smith will show up as the beloved Daily Planet photographer in Superman & Lois' final season.
This version of the character has previously been described as an "extroverted 20-something" known for being "the 'life of the party' around the office." The site adds, "Despite being work colleagues with Clark, he’s been unable to get him out of his 'awkward' shell. Unaware of Clark’s super-secret, Jimmy’s still determined to become his pal."
In a clip from episode 7 - titled "A Regular Guy" - we see an enthusiastic Jimmy attempt to befriend Clark Kent ahead of a softball game. However, he doesn't have much luck given the hero's reluctance to risk revealing his powers to the world.

Quick Links Why Small Soldiers is Gremlins' Secret Spiritual Successor What Happened to Joe Dante's Small Soldiers? Will We Ever See a Small Soldiers 2?
Fans had awaited a third Gremlins movie for over three decades when, all along, a '90s cult classic secret sequel that deserved better. Known for their dark humor and iconic designs, the Gremlins series possesses some of the best creature features in cinematic history. However, while the franchise is finding new life with the animated prequel Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, the same can't be said for Small Soldiers. Possessing as much heart, humor, and creativity as its antecedents, Small Soldiers seemed to be slated for bigger things. Yet, as some continue to look down on Small Soldiers, it raises questions about what happened to this ambitious film and whether audiences will ever see it receive another installment nearly 30 years later, much like its more successful sister series.

We recently learned that Superman & Lois will return for its fourth and final season a little sooner than expected on October 7 and The CW has just shared the official descriptions for the two-part premiere.
The first is titled "The End & The Beginning" and teases, "Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) is locked in a brutal battle with Luthor’s monster; Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and the boys race against time to save General Lane (Dylan Walsh). Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Brent Fletcher & Todd Helbing."
The second episode is going to be called "A World Without" but this synopsis understandably offers no real insights into the outcome of the Man of Steel's battle with Doomsday.
However, it sounds like Lex Luthor is still on the loose and about to enact his twisted plan for Smallville. "Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) join the fight against Luthor (Michael Cudlitz), who starts making moves in Smallville.

Director Andrew Saullo has just dropped the second Resident Evil cast reunion. And this time, Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith and Eric Pirius are joined by the surprise addition of Rebecca Chambers’ actress, known as Linda! The quartet were joined by Saullo, as well as Residence of Evil founder JJ Trulock to discuss (what else?) their experience with Resident Evil, as well as some behind-the-scenes info on the shoot for the cutscenes.
Regarding the shoot for the cutscenes, Linda said that the experience “left a really big impact” on her at the time. “It was a big day. It was a wild shoot and it was very different than anything else that I had been doing in Japan at the time when I was modelling.” Still, Linda did remember her fellow actors, though she admitted that they all “looked a little bit different” at the time, including herself. “I remember for the shoot,...

After a successful launch of The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story, director Andrew Saullo has another treat in store for Resident Evil fans with another cast reunion video. This time, however, he’s upped the ante.

Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith and Eric Pirius will be back, but as you can see from the headline image, the trio will be joined by a female member of the cast.

It's been confirmed today that Superman & Lois will return to The CW with its fourth and final season on Thursday, October 17 at 8pm Et/10pm Pt.
The show used to air on Tuesday nights, but that slot has been taken by WWE Nxt. Most exciting is the news that we're getting a special two-hour "premiere event," meaning this opener will be feature-length.
We believe it's called "The End & The Beginning" and directed by Gregory Smith from a script by Brent Fletcher & Todd Helbing.
With The CW looking to move away from pricey scripted dramas, Superman & Lois season 4 was cut to 10 episodes and many regular cast members will now make only guest appearances. The writing team also had to be trimmed down.
Still, we're optimistic the show will go out on a high as everyone involved deserves the chance to end the story of these characters in a suitably epic and fitting manner.

Could The CW have one last Arrowverse crossover up its sleeve? Following remarks made by Tom Cavanagh at a convention over the weekend, TVLine has confirmed that the Flash vet will appear in the series finale of Superman & Lois, appropriately titled “It Went By So Fast.”
Cavanagh originally hoped to direct the pivotal episode, having previously helmed the Season 1 finale and Season 3 premiere, but the gig was already promised to frequent Superman & Lois director Gregory Smith. That’s when showrunner Todd Helbing got an idea, one that will leave fans theorizing for months to come.

Love or hate the Arrowverse, there's no denying that Tom Cavanagh's performance as the Reverse-Flash was hard to find fault with. As the years passed, The Flash diluted the character by having the actor play multiple versions of "Harrison Wells." However, in the suit, Cavanagh proved himself a truly formidable villain.
His story ended in the Scarlet Speedster's series, but we can look forward to at least one final appearance from the actor in the DC Universe.
Superman & Lois will conclude with its fourth and final season later this year, and unlike Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman, the show's creative team have received enough notice to craft what we hope will be a satisfying ending.
The question now is, will that ending include an appearance from Eobard Thawne?

Before Nathan Fillion became the most notable "rookie" on television, there was a different ABC cop show that revolved around new recruits trying to make it in law enforcement. Rookie Blue, which aired from 2010 to 2015, featured a few familiar faces, including Missy Peregrym (of current FBI fame) and Gregory Smith (who had wrapped up his run as Ephram Brown on The WB's Everwood a few years prior). These upstarts were fresh out of the police academy and were aiming to survive their stressful jobs as rookie officers at the 15th Division Station in Toronto. Similarly to The Rookie (which premiered in 2018 and is now in its sixth season on ABC), Rookie Blue showcases harrowing police matters on the streets, lots of workplace romances, and the rookies' quests to shed their naivety and inexperience to become top-notch officers.
