What makes a reality TV show like Dancing With the Stars so great is the wide array of celebrity contestants that compete for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. With the show having announced its Season 33 celeb cast, which will consist of the latest The Bachelorette, Jenn Tran, it's certain to be yet another glorious season of seeing celebrities with two left feet showcase their dance moves.
With a new season airing this fall, it makes fans think about all the controversial contestants of previous seasons. DWTS isn't all about the footwork, as it's had its fair share of drama since airing back in 2005. The show has faced backlash for allowing contestants from the political sphere to compete. In addition, viewers have also complained about former contestants who have disturbing arrest records. Despite this, it looks like Season 33 is also moving forward with a controversial figure.

Cheryl Burke has a $3 million net worth, mainly earned from her long-standing role on Dancing With The Stars. Celebrities on DWTS earn much more than the pro-dancers, who can make anywhere from $1,600 to $5,200 per episode. Cheryl has supplemented her income with a dance studio, podcasts, and a book, as well as being the breadwinner in her marriage.
Cheryl Burke first came to prominence back in 2006 when she first joined the the ABC hit reality TV series, Dancing With The Stars. Burke was one of the many talented pro-dancers to join the series and managed to take home not one, but two wins in her first seasons, making her an instant fan-favorite. During this time, Cheryl began dating actor Matthew Lawrence (who had a smaller net worth than Cheryl), whom she would go on to marry 13 years later. The two would later divorce in 2022.

Some of her past dance partners on the show included Drew Lachey, Rob Kardashian, William Levy, Drew Carey, and Ryan Lochte. But Burke is keeping secret exactly who she romance ed, at least for now. The dancer unveiled the lore regarding her love life on the show on Amy Robach and T.J. With new shows constantly being released and what feels like endless streaming options, it's hard to choose what to watch. If there's one show from this year that needs to be at the top of the list, it's Peacock's The Traitors. Based on a Dutch series, the U.S. version of the competition show premiered in January and was one of the best shows of 2023. The competition series brings together 20 contestants, including Survivor and Big Brother's Cirie Fields, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, and Brandi Glanville from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The show is like a big murder mystery, or a version of the game Mafia with a cash prize of $250,000 on the line. The gameplay, casting, and play-along made the show an immediate success, with the second season due to premiere on January 12, 2024.

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey just announced they’re engaged!
The happy couple took to Instagram on Friday to announce their engagement with a series of black and white photos. In the carousel post, the San Francisco 49ers star can be seen down on bended knee, as Culpo holds her hands together in front of her face in what appears to be a total surprise moment.
The proposal took place Sunday at the luxury Amangiri Resort in Canyon Point, Utah, where they were surrounded by a sweet flower arrangement and, of course, breathtaking red rocks. Culpo opted for an oversized blazer over a dress and high-knee boots. She wore minimal jewelry — only a set of small earrings — until McCaffrey slipped on a giant rock on that finger. The NFL star’s wardrobe consisted of a classic look — black pants, boots and a black sweater over a white dress shirt.

When did reality TV shows stop being, well, real? Critics of the genre will argue that they never were, and they might have a point. No one believes the cast of Made in Chelsea just so happen to bump into each other on the King’s Road every other day. But think back to Big Brother, or even the early series of Love Island, and you’ll find a lot more reality. Members of the public, unused to cameras and far less bothered by the opportunities that could come from these shows, let their guards down and created great TV in the process. If they returned to other reality shows, it was with a filter in place and any innocence gone. The dreaded self-awareness had set in. These contestants are now Reality TV Stars, here to play the Reality TV Game.

The Traitors will return to scheme again on Peacock.
The breakout unscripted series has landed a second season renewal three weeks after its premiere.
A renewal was a no-brainer, but the speed at which the show got picked up is pretty crazy.
The streaming service typically waits until more data is available, but if you pay attention to social media, the show has broken through in a way many TV shows can only dream of.
Hosted by Alan Cumming, this unscripted competition series is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game.
Twenty contestants (including reality A-listers) come together to complete a series of challenges with the objective of earning a cash prize.
The catch? Three of the contestants coined "the traitors," will devise a plan to steal the prize from the other contestants, coined "the faithful."

Cody Calafiore is opening up about the struggles had while filming The Traitors. The Big Brother winner was one of ten celebrity contestants on the new Peacock series. An adaptation of the Dutch hit, The Traitors featured a cast of many reality TV alums, alongside ten newbies, competing for a 250,000 prize in a Scottish Highlands castle. However, the drama came from a group known as "The Traitors" trying to steal the money from the other contestants, known as "The Faithfuls."
In an interview with Us Weekly, The Traitors' Cody Calafiore admitted he was "completely losing it" throughout the show's premiere season. The 32-year-old called it "the hardest thing [I've] ever done." This was mostly due to the pressure he felt as one of the three traitors, alongside Survivor alum Cirie Fields and Army veteran Christian de la Torre.
The actor was initially excited about this role, assuming that a traitor would be most likely to win.
