The Major League Baseball season is underway and like normal, every pontificator who screamed from the mountain tops about how the season was going to go are now burning every recording device in their office. Baseball is an amazing sport, extremely difficult in many ways and a great reward for the patient. The difficulty necessitates a grueling 162 game season so that the best teams can advance to the post season, making it a certainty that the two teams that survive the process are in fact the best two teams that year. However, the same thing that makes Baseball a great sport can also be seen as something of a negative, they play 162 games!

Admittedly it’s hard to stay engaged around game 50, by early June even the Philly Fanatic is simply Phil the Reasonably Enthusiastic. To help you keep tabs on the long season let’s take a look at...

Everyone has always known that everyone hates A.J. Pierzysnki. And there's really nothing to like about Alex Rodriguez. But I'm sooooo pleased that Mlb players voted in a poll that they also really don't like Nick Swisher. I mean, I always knew he was a tool and all, but he's one of those dudes who's smiling often enough that I was never sure if ohter people saw what an annoying guy he generally is.

But the players have spoken! In a secret survey conducted by Men's Journal, A.J. Piersynski dominated the "Most Hated" voting, taking first place with 34 percent of the vote. A-Rod was second with 10 percent, and much to my surprise and delight, Swisher came in third with nine percent. Jayson Werth and Jonathan Papelbon each received four percent.

NY Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain's comeback has been crushed ... thanks to a gruesome trampoline accident at a kid's play center yesterday. Chamberlain was jumping with his son at a center in Tampa, Florida ... when he came down wrong on his right foot ... causing severe damage to his ankle. There are conflicting reports about the severity of the injury -- some media outlets are saying the bone was protruding through the skin and there was lots of blood.

A young woman named Beejoli decided to finally tell the story that all her friends have been begging her to tell. That story is about how she met Quentin Tarantino at a party and how that night ended up with the "Inglourious Basterds" director pleasuring himself while sucking on her feet. She wrote the entire thing in an email and sent it to a bunch of her friends. Those friends forwarded it to their friends, and now that email is here.
