Today, Netflix released the official trailer and key art for Forever, which is a modern reimagining of Judy Blume’s groundbreaking 1975 novel.

Premiering on May 8, Forever is a love story of two Black teens exploring romance and their identities through the awkward journey of being each other’s firsts, set in Los Angeles, 2018.

Mara Brock Akil is the creator, writer, and showrunner of the series, which is executive produced by Akil, Blume, Susie Fitzgerald, Erika Harrison, Sara White, Regina King, Reina King, Shana C. Waterman, and Anthony Hemingway.

Netflix is sharing a first look at its upcoming series based on Judy Blume’s 1975 novel, Forever.

The series will follow the love story of two Black teens Keisha (Lovie Simone) and Justin (Michael Cooper Jr.), young athletes who become each other’s first love, which ultimately impacts them for the rest of their lives. Forever will be set in 2018 Los Angeles.

Simone will play Keisha Clark, a confident track star with dreams for life after high school. Meanwhile, Cooper Jr. will portray Justin Edwards, who dreams of playing division-one basketball and achieving more than his successful parents.

Mara Brock Akil, known for creating the sitcom Girlfriends and the drama Being Mary Jane, serves as the show’s executive producer and showrunner. Forever is Akil’s first project under her overall deal with Netflix. Judy Blume, Susie Fitzgerald, Erika Harrison, Sara White, Regina King, Shana C. Waterman and Anthony Hemingway serve as executive producers.

In a case of art a little too closely imitating life, actor Milo Ventimiglia, star of NBC’s hit This Is Us, has lost his home to fire. Fans of the show, which ran from 2016 to 2022, will recall that Ventimiglia’s character, Jack Pearson, died after his family’s home burned on the show. Per CBS News, Ventimiglia, whose wife Jarah is pregnant, said his family’s Malibu home burned in the Los Angeles fires, which are still burning.

Ventimiglia told the news outlet that he was watching on security cameras from Tuesday night as the flames from the Palisades Fire engulfed his home, a home that already housed a crib for their new baby. “You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and what not, and then you see your neighbors' houses and everything kind of around and your heart just breaks,” Ventimiglia said.

Mandy Moore is entering her Rebecca Pearson era. The former This Is Us star took to Instagram on Friday to announce that she’s pregnant with her third child, and you’d better believe she used the opportunity to reference her Emmy-winning drama series.

Wearing its formative gateway horror influences on its sleeves, We Have a Ghost blends nostalgic family adventure-induced charm with Landon’s distinct ability to render authentic characters to an affecting degree. While it threatens to overstay its welcome, the tender adventure delivers ghostly charm, poignant family bonds, and humor that’ll appeal to new generations of budding genre fans.

"Amblin-esque" is a term that gets thrown around a lot, and it mostly means "This movie/TV show features kids on bikes." But "We Have a Ghost," a sweet-natured family-friendly haunted house pic from "Freaky" director Christopher Landon, really has that Amblin vibe going for it. Were it not for some very modern social media-based jokes, it feels like "We Have a Ghost" could've easily fit into the late '80s and early '90s, when Steven Spielberg reigned supreme and everyone was trying to ape his style and, for lack of a better word, brand. Indeed, "We Have a Ghost" feels like the result of decades of Amblin-like pics and their various clones. It owes more than a few things to movies like "E.T.", "Poltergeist," "Beetlejuice," and even, believe it or not, the "Casper" movie from 1995.

Filmmaker Christopher Landon loves a good scare. But while the man behind such contemporary horror hits as five (!!) of the “Paranormal Activity” films, “Happy Death Day,” “Freaky,” and “Viral” is best associated with his terrifying stuff, he’s got other tricks and treats on his mind.

Landon’s latest film, the Netflix outing “We Have a Ghost,” which he wrote and directed, smacks of horror — it follows a family, including Anthony Mackie, Erica Ash, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, and Niles Fitch, who move into a new house and discover it comes complete with a ghost, played by David Harbour — it’s also a bit more family-friendly, certainly funny, and driven by ideas about what happens when something gets big on the internet. It’s another evolution for Landon, who seems more than ready to subvert expectations when it comes to what he’s interested in making.

Netflix has launched the trailer for its forthcoming horror comedy ‘We Have a Ghost’ starring David Harbour and Anthony Mackie.

The story follows a family who has moved into a haunted house. When the youngest son, Kevin (Niles Fitch), ventures into the attic on a ghost-hunting quest, he discovers a mute and not-so-scary ghost named Ernest (Harbour).

He films their interaction and then uploads it onto YouTube and the family (led by Mackie’s character) becomes an overnight sensation, with everyone, including psychics wanting a piece of the spectre.

When they investigate the mystery of Ernest’s past, they become a target of the CIA who have malicious intent for the spirit. Can the family help Ernest before it’s too late?

Jennifer Coolidge also stars along with Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Tig Notaro, Erica Ash, Faith Ford, Niles Fitch, Isabella Russo, and Steve Coulter.

David Harbour haunts a family whose ghost stories go viral in a new trailer launched Thursday by Netflix for “We Have a Ghost,” starring Anthony Mackie, Jahi Winston, Tig Notaro, Erica Ash and Jennifer Coolidge.

From writer and director Christopher Landon, “We Have a Ghost” is led by Harbour as Ernest the Ghost, Anthony Mackie as the patriarch of Kevin’s family, Erica Ash as Kevin’s mother Melanie, Niles Fitch as Kevin’s brother Fulton, Tig Notaro as Dr. Leslie Monroe and Jennifer Coolidge as Judy Romano, The West Bay Medium.

David Harbour has been undead in “Stranger Things,” Santa in “Violent Night,” and now, a friendly ghost for upcoming Netflix comedy “We Have a Ghost.”

Written and directed by Christopher Landon, the film stars Harbour as Ernest, a supernatural entity who is dead set on finding his killer, with the help of a new family he’s haunting. Jennifer Coolidge has lived many lives on screen, one of her latest being in Netflix’s upcoming film We Have a Ghost. Judging by her fear-stricken reaction to seeing an actual ghost, the psychic medium she plays, Judy Romano, is the kind of supernatural communicator who hopes they never actually have to come in contact with the supernatural.

It doesn’t help that the ghost at hand, a wronged family man named Ernest (David Harbour), is in cahoots with a teenager named Kevin (Jahi Di’Allo Winston), whose family moved into a haunted house.

Then, you might want to check out the new trailer for We Have a Ghost. The comedy is a Netflix original starring the streaming service’s Stranger Things star, David Harbour, and Anthony Mackie. The movie looks to have a fun twist on the typical tropes of a family moving into a new home in a new town that knows of rumors of an apparition in said home.
