Fans have been waiting for any news regarding Kindred Spirits season 8, and for now, they're going to just have to keep waiting. Ghost hunting shows and paranormal TV series have always been popular fare on channels like Discovery, History, and now on streaming platforms. Kindred Spirits was created in the same mold as similar paranormal ghost hunting reality series like Help! My House is Haunted and Ghost Asylum. The series first premiered in October 2016, and since then, there have been six more seasons, the latest coming in 2023.
Kindred Spirits stars Amy Bruni and Adam Berry, paranormal investigators who previously appeared on other Syfy shows like Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters Academy. Together, the pair investigate different residences where paranormal activity seems to be tied to the people occupying the homes. In season 4, Bruni and Berry were joined by psychic medium Chip Coffey, who helps the pair get in touch with spirits on a recurring basis.

Renowned Kindred Spirits psychic Chip Coffey is facing a health scare. The reality TV star joined the Travel Channel show in 2020 as an official cast member on Kindred Spirits Season 4 alongside Adam Berry and Amy Bruni. The 70-year-old self-proclaimed psychic has also starred on shows like Psychic Kids and Paranormal State. On December 5, 2024, Amy Bruni took to her Instagram to wish Chip Coffey a speedy recovery from a “nasty virus” he had contracted. Bruni also urged fans to keep the reality TV star in their thoughts. Chip Coffey appreciated the sweet gesture from his costar by leaving heart emojis in the comment section. Bruni ended her caption by wishing that Coffey overcome this period of being under the weather soon in the following words:...

Kindred Spirits is a paranormal documentary reality show that premiered back in 2016 on Destination America and TLC. Since then, the show has spanned seven successful seasons starring ghost hunters Amy Bruni and Adam Berry. Both Bruni and Berry are known for starring in Syfys Ghosthunters, so Kindred Spirits was definitely not their first rodeo. In 2019, the show moved to Travel Channel, which helped it gain wider viewership, since the network was already home to several successful paranormal programs, including Ghost Adventures.

Modern slasher movie remakes often improve on original premises with updated technology and character development for a new audience. Films like "Sorority Row" and "Maniac" benefited from new technology, setting, and tone to create eerie and tense atmospheres. The 2020 remake of "The Invisible Man" expertly delves into themes of domestic violence, adding depth and critical acclaim to the original story.
Slasher movies are a staple in the horror genre, but over the years, remakes of these films have become arguably even better than their originals. Within the horror movie genre, some of the best horror movies are slashers that stand out for their use of extreme gore and memorable antagonists. With horror truly finding its feet in the early twentieth century, it's no surprise that in recent years, so many slasher movies have been given the remake treatment.

It took nearly 20 years to make "The Conjuring," a "based on a true story" film about the supposed hauntings of the Perron family in Harrisville, Rhode Island. For over 14 years, producer Tony DeRosa-Grund went from studio to studio trying to make the film happen, but it wasn't until writers Chad and Carey W. Hayes updated the script and shifted the perspective from the Perron family to paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren that there was movement on the picture. The duo interviewed Lorraine Warren to ensure authenticity, and the new script sparked a massive bidding war. The Hayes brothers had cracked the code — the secret of what would become a massive franchise lay with the Warrens.

Roger Waters is responding after becoming mired in controversy after the Berlin stop on his This Is Not A Drill tour.
At one point in the show, the Pink Floyd alum donned a long SS-style leather overcoat adorned with a swastika-like symbol (actually crossed hammers), replete with a Nazi-style red armband, before being handed a prop machine gun and gleefully firing into the crowd.
Anyone familiar with the 1982 film “The Wall” — written by Waters, and based on Pink Floyd’s 1979 concept album of the same name — will recognize the iconography was directly lifted from the movie, in which an alienated rock star refashions himself as a Hitler-style fascist dictator; Waters has worn similar uniforms onstage when performing “The Wall” during previous tours.

Welcome back to Dead Time. Do you believe in ghosts? Even if you’re a skeptic, you’ve probably tuned into at least one of the many TV shows or web series about ghost hunting. I’ve been watching paranormal reality television shows since Ghost Hunters first aired on Syfy in 2004, so this month I wanted to talk to one of the Og ghost hunters, paranormal investigator and researcher Adam Berry.
The original Ghost Hunters featured paranormal investigators Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, who formed The Atlantic Paranormal Society (Taps) and assembled a team which included Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango. Each episode followed the Taps team as they explored allegedly haunted locations, and the show became extremely successful. Ghost Hunters eventually spawned several spinoff television series, including Ghost Hunters Academy (2009), a paranormal competition reality show. When paranormal investigator Adam Berry won Ghost Hunters Academy, his prize was supposed to...

Paranormal investigators Amy Bruni, Adam Berry and psychic medium Chip Coffey are back for another season of “Kindred Spirits,” and this one starts them off on a case that really shakes them up when they hear the disembodied voice of a whimpering baby.
The trio head to Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, where they investigate a facility that once housed the poorest of the poor that had a dreadful rumored history of torture that included starvation and beatings – and a “room” in the basement with shackles all but proves that claim. The building is now a cultural center, but intense paranormal activity terrifies employees and guests.
As they sit calmly in a hallway of the building, they ask for the spirit of William Cage, the worker who was said to have been the worst of the worst, to come forward. Instead, what they very clearly hear is the sound of a child crying.

As Kindred Spirits enters its seventh season, stars Amy Bruni, Adam Berry, and Chip Coffey are nowhere close to giving up the ghost on paranormal reality TV. But the trio has been considering what their legacy might be on the entertainment genre and the paranormal community at large.
In an interview with Den of Geek’s paranormal pop culture show Talking Strange, the trio discussed the latest 10-episode season — which kicks off Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt on Travel Channel, and same day on the discovery+ streaming service — as well as what they hope their lasting contribution to the ghosthunting world might be.
Since its premiere in 2016 on Destination America and TLC, where it aired concurrently before moving to Travel Channel in 2019, Kindred Spirits has focused on haunted people before locations. At most comic cons and fan events, one expects to run into people dressed as supernatural entities, extraterrestrials, and mysterious creatures. But at paranormal, cryptozoology, and ufology events, fans are discussing the existence of them – and often gather to actively go looking for them.
And as much as I move about in the world of comic cons, for the past decade or so, I have spent weekends traveling the world to talk as a journalist and researcher about ghosts, demons, curses, aliens, UFO, and monsters. During the day, the world of paracons closely resembles most fan events, and there is quite a bit of cross-pollination between them. The real-life 'Conjuring' family are reuniting for the Kindred Spirits ghost hunt. We have an exclusive clip.
When The Conjuring debuted in 2013, the $20 million modestly-budgeted haunted house horror flick directed by James Wan became a $319 million juggernaut, and re-introduced famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren to modern audiences. But the core of the story revolved around the real-life Perron Family who lived in the Rhode Island home, and were allegedly tormented by evil spirits.
Though the Perrons moved out of the house nearly 40 years ago, having lived with paranormal activity for a decade—and claiming to experience the ghost of a woman with a broken neck, being possessed, or levitated—the so-called Conjuring House still stands. And it remains occupied by the living, and perhaps also by spirits of the dead.

Grant Wilson is a ghost hunter. He is also a husband, father, recorded musician, published author, tabletop gaming company entrepreneur, YouTuber, and – at the moment I meet up with him in New York City – just a guy who blends in with every other person having lunch.
But for 15 years the world has publicly known him as a guy who explores unexplained phenomena on the unscripted paranormal reality series Ghost Hunters — which returns with its first new episodes since 2016 tonight at 9 p.m. on A&e. However, Wilson gave up the ghosts as it were, and left the series in 2012, after more than 160 episodes, and with a feeling of satisfaction.
“When I first started the original, my youngest son was one, and now he’s 16,” says Wilson,...

Starting Monday, viewers of cable outlets like TLC, the Food Network and Discovery Channel may experience the strange sensation of hearing snippets of the theme song from the 1970s sitcom, “The Brady Bunch.”
On TLC, “Long Island Medium” star Theresa Caputo will appear sporting a ‘do that looks much like the one Florence Henderson’s Carol Brady wore in the earlier series. On Food Network, Duff and Valerie Bertinelli will coo over a porkchops-and-applesauce cake from the children in “Kids Baking Championship” that plays off an old “Brady” plotline. And on Travel Channel, “Kindred Spirits” hosts Amy Bruni and Adam Berry will discover a treasure chest filled with 1970s flotsam and jetsam.
The idea is to make viewers from across the Discovery Inc. pantheon of cable networks more aware of the new series, “A Very Brady Renovation.” The program, which debuts on Discovery’s Hgtv Monday, September 9, shows the actors...

Paranormal investigators Bob Magill and Tina Storer use fear to trap spirits on Ghost Bait.
Ghosts smell fear like sharks smell blood. You want to catch a ghost? Get your most easily-frightened friends and lock them in a place renowned for its hauntings and tell them spectres are coming to eat his brains. Either the ghosts will come or your friend will have a heart attack and come back to haunt you. It's a win-win. That was almost the premise of Travel Channel's cult classic series Ghost Bait, which ran in 2013. The series was based on a radical experiment using human fear to confront the most terrifying hauntings. Travel Channel will premiere its Ghost Bait revival on Thursday, April 4 at 10 p.m. The season will consist of 12 half-hour episodes.

Where can you meet likeminded UFO and paranormal enthusiasts from around the world? Check out these conventions.
At most comic cons, and fan events, one expects to run into people dressed as supernatural entities, extraterrestrials, and mysterious creatures.
There are panels, vendor rooms, and signings by notable authors, television personalities, and occasionally actors from paranormal pop culture. But at night, the activities continue with a skywatch,...

For famous TV paranormal investigators, after years of ghost hunting, they probably think they’ve pretty much seen it all. But for Amy Bruni of Kindred Spirits, the notorious Waverly Hills Sanatorium proved her wrong. In the most recent episode of Kindred Spirits, Bruni and paranormal Bff Adam Berry discovered that even a location they had visited previously can produce new surprises when one of its ghostly residents turns dark and violent. But, perhaps more importantly, behind that dark turn and the violent behaviors, there can often be a reason. Suffice it to say, spoilers follow. Kindred Spirits highlights the Waverly […]

A normal investigation into Travel Channel's paranormal investigators reveals they are Kindred Spirits.
You're never alone when you grow up in a haunted house. This could lead to embarrassment as you hit adolescence, but unless there's serious poltergeist activity, the experience is usually fairly mundane. However, when the spooks get nasty and the next Ghostbusters sequel means Venkman and his crew are otherwise preoccupied, you'd be well advised to seek out Kindred Spirits. Season 3 is coming to Travel Channel and paranormal investigators Amy Bruni and Adam Berry have been known to cross the country when haunts get too familiar.
Bruni and Berry haunt the ghosts on Kindred Spirits, which premieres season 3 on Thursday, January 24 at 10 p.m. They materialize at "evil and historic locations" throughout America to scare negative manifestations away with positive vibes. The season debuts at a compound that housed an orphanage, but the...
