Brilliant Minds (2024– )
9/10
almost skipped it, but glad I did not

I am a very big fan of Dr Oliver Sacks work and have been enamored of his work for years. This show plays tribute in a fictional account to the kind of neurological work that he did. Zachary Quinto does a fine job in giving us the essence of Sachs work in a character named Oliver Wolf , a very damaged yet brilliant doctor who fought his own demons but helped many patients in controversial but successful ways.

The supporting cast are effective, each one of them equally damaged misfits like Wolf. I found the flashbacks surrounding his mentally ill doctor father and his embarrassed doctor mother necessary and done artistically.

I originally stopped watching in the middle of the first episode but returned after the New Year. Now, I am binge watching . Love this show.
