Julius drives Vincent's car up on the two right tires, then drops down, the car's airbag deploys. When the car falls down the camera was pulled back to a wide view from the front of the vehicle. The airbag was clearly visible for a brief moment. When the camera cuts to a close-up, there is no airbag showing.
When at Los Alamos, NM, the same extra (lady in red-striped shirt)
passes by at least five times.
When Julius drives the car on two wheels, the camera films Julius close up with one hand on the steering wheel and his other hand holding onto the car's front window, but in the long shots, the stunt driver has both hands on wheel.
When Julius jogs to the house where his mother used to live, he had large sweat stains under his arms and chest on his pink shirt. They go inside for a drink and his shirt is now totally dry.
In the washroom, the beer bottle in the background moves from different towel dispensers, depending on the shot.
The Narrator says at the beginning that Julius is 35. Arnold Schwarzenegger was 40 at time of filming.
The deal was for Beetroot to pay $5 million for the engine. At the end of the movie, the twins say the suitcase contained $4 million. However, the implication is that Vincent skimmed $1 million before he returned the money.
5 million dollars in hundred dollar bills weighs 110 pounds. It is unlikely Vincent could carry the suitcase with one hand so easily.
The two extras in the background after Julius beats up Vincent's creditor are staring directly at the camera throughout the scene.
If the jet engine takes up the entire space in the trunk, Julius and Marnie should be suspicious as to why they couldn't put their luggage in the trunk.
When Julius and Vincent walk down the crowded streets wearing their new outfits for the first time, several people in the crowd stare directly into the camera.
Throughout the film, there are little moments inserted to visually demonstrate Jules and Vincent being twins including moments where they do the exact same thing at the exact same time. Near the end of the film when Jules and Vincent are sitting at desks across from each other, both men scratch their ears. If you pay attention to Arnold Schwarzenegger, he sneaks a look at Danny DeVito so he can make sure he times his scratching to match DeVito.
When the nun at the orphanage is rifling through the filing cabinet looking for Vincent Benedict's file she is well past the B's when she pulls it out.
When Gilbert and Peter exit the Cadillac in the parking garage they meticulously wipe the fingerprints off the car, but they are both wearing gloves, so there are no fingerprints.
When Julius asks to come with his brother on his trip to Houston, Julius says that where he wants to go is on the way to Houston. After Julius says this, in the shot from behind him, his lips are still moving. He is saying "on the way to Houston" again.
When the two babies are lying together in the beginning, there is clearly a hand under the sheet "helping" the baby Vince to kick the baby Julius.
When Vincent is standing in front of Playmates club and pulls the guy off the motorcycle, the cable pulling the guy off the motorcycle is clearly visible.
When Julius drives the car on two wheels, you clearly see the ramp that the car drives up to enable the stunt.
When Julius throws one of the Klane brothers into the elevator, the cable that pulls him backwards is visible.
At the end of the movie, when the chain is falling on the "bad guy", it is clearly a plastic chain as a large number of the links have the silver paint brushed off revealing the white plastic underneath.
The twins were told that their mother was at an artists' colony 200 miles north of Santa Fe. That would have put them in downtown Alamosa, Colo. (36 miles too far north to be in New Mexico).
When Julius is driving the Mustang for the first time and Vincent calls Julius on the cell phone to tell him to turn into the grocery store they are clearly on a busy boulevard. When Julius actually makes the turn, however, he is clearly turning off of a residential side street.
Bauerfield International Airport would be the only Airport near the island. "27 miles" from the location mentioned is not possible. It would be an estimated 200 miles minimum.
Julius made Vincent return the money, but to whom? The money came from Beetroot, who was killed.
Reflected in car window while Vincent talks to Linda before their trip.
When they are stealing the Cadillac, Julius says that if you lift the end of a vehicle to an angle greater than 45 degrees the alarms computer thinks that the car is being towed, and the alarm shuts off. 45 degrees would have to be over his head, and he lifts the car to only waist level.
When Dr. Traven is explaining the experiment to the twins, he says that "the embryo split" to create them. First of all, embryos do not split--the zygote (fertilized egg) splits to become two embryos. Second, if the splitting zygote was the case, Julius and Vincent would be identical twins. Obviously, they are fraternal (where two sperm fertilize two eggs at the same time).
Shortly after Julius arrives in Los Angeles, he tells a biker that he is from an island in the South Pacific "300 miles SSW of Fiji". In a later scene when he meets Marnie at the supermarket, he tells her that the island he is from is "300 nautical miles SSW of Fiji". A [standard] mile and a nautical mile are different measurements. A nautical mile is about 1.15 standard miles, which would make 300 nautical miles equaled to 350 standard miles.
When Julius takes off the torn shirt in the mini mart, Vincent marvels at the appearance of Julius' back. He says, "It's like North Dakota," implying that it looks mountainous. The state of North Dakota in reality has very few mountains.
Miss Busby calls Vincent and Julius: "Mister Benedicts". This should be: "Misters Benedict".
