Easily a terrible movie, but also extremely funny. This has become a classic among me and my friends because it is so bad. There are moments when you can't help bursting out with awkward dialogue and gratuitous clothes changing. Elvis Fu is a virtual bevy of ethnic jokes.
The dialogue is so bad it's entertaining. I quote:
"Back in Kansas, it's so flat, when your dog runs away you can see him for THREE DAYS." "Wow, that's flat." End of scene. Just one of many awful exchanges. I recommend it.

After a break of two movies, Andy Sidaris takes back the directorial reigns from his son Christian, but by this point his "Bullets, Bombs and Babes" series has devolved into complete camp (the climax is a private pro-wrestling match: Julie Strain and Gerald Okamura vs. Marcus "Buff" Bagwell). Undeniably there are some funny lines and situations in this film (the Asian Elvis impersonator, the owl that gets blasted with a shotgun, etc.), but some of the action scenes are embarrassingly bad, and the padding to stretch the movie to 90 minutes is all-too-obvious (Sidaris spends about half the running time showing us how the characters travel from point A to point B). The new member of the female cast, Shae Marks, has a gorgeous face, a beautiful smile, and breasts so enormous they are more distracting than erotic. The only woman who shows some action potential is Raye Hollitt - but Sidaris drops the ball again when he sets up a catfight between her and Julie K. Smith and then has her defeated with a single punch! What a shame. If you take this film as a comedy it may get ** out of 4, but if you're looking for action subtract one star.
Some people (not Robert Bresson) proclaim a basic law of cinema: "whatever the movie is about, it will be better with breasts and zombies". Well, in "The day of the warrior" there are no zombies.
There is little to add to Sickcritik's brilliant dissertation on this movie. If you enjoy watching "apparently" bad movies, this is a good option. You will enjoy with Andy Sidaris' master subtlety to include scenes with naked breasts. The special effects (those explosions, those weapons...) will fascinate you, the thrilling acting will carry you away (the comic couple, the hispano, the Shakespearian actresses...), you will fear the extraordinary evilness of the villains, as the owl-killer blonde or the Warrior, a psychopath who loves to kill his victims with wrestling techniques, you will be surprised by a soundtrack that it's maybe the worst thing of the movie (and that's a merit!) and finally you will meet the mythical Elvis Fu: I think everybody should meet Elvis Fu before death.
So enjoy it!, but remember, don't expose to this movie's quality more than ten minutes every time: more is dangerous for your health.

This is a great movie to watch if you're not concerned with plot and like to watch all the main characters have sex. It wouldn't be a good idea to watch this movie alone, unless you like to laugh to yourself. If you want to take a break from movies that are obsessed with either winning awards or a large box office take, this might be what you're looking for. I found myself constantly wondering how this movie was able to get funding, but I had to keep in mind that there are people like me who rent this kind of stuff. What's great about it is that the cover of the video box for this movie gives you a pretty good expectation of what this "film" is about. That's so rare these days.

Thank God for my love of BAD movies because if I didn't LOVE BAD movies then I wouldn't have been able to sit through Day Of The Warrior. It has so many moments that will leave you shaking your head, going WTF & parts that you'll just have to rewind over & over & over again.Oh yeah, how could I forget the BAD acting. The acting is so BAD that you just have to laugh. If I hear *I've got something to get off my chest* one more time, I'll go nuts.I probably would've watched this movie no matter what but the main reason I wanted to see it was that Buff Bagwell was in it.His wrestling scenes at the end were the worst.I just couldn't wait for them to be over.Watching Day Of The Warrior I started off OK but by the time it was almost over, I even wanted to turn it off. When it was over I almost felt relieved.I've always heard of Andy Sidaris's movies but never watched 1 until I watched Day Of The Warrior.I have NO idea why but now I want to see more or all of his films.I only suggest you watch Day Of The Warrior if you truly LOVE BAD movies because if you DON'T truly LOVE BAD movies, you won't make it through till the end or if you just want to see a movie full of boobs

Well, I shouldn't have expected much, given that it is an Andy Sidaris movie, but I got less than I expected. The acting was horrible, even for a B-movie, and the "action" sequences, well if you are into one-punch fights then you might have a good time.
For a low budget, b-rated film, this movie really stinks. It's another one of those, just face and looks, type of movie. No acting, very stupid action sequences, and a very sorry cast of brainless misfits who try to masquerade as the next Bond group.
I caught this movie on TV one night after returning from a night of drinking and I can honestly say I've never seen a movie as bad as this one. I laughed for about 2 straight hours, and for all of the wrong reasons. This movie is a 12-year-old's dream come true. Terrible acting by mullet-ed American heroes who know karate and attractive females who do absolutely nothing but stand around and look pretty. If you're going to watch mindless action films, at least have the decency to rent Commando or Bloodsport. This movie makes me long for the days of Mystery Science Theater 3000. This movie is just plain bad.
One of the highlights of the film was the appearance of Buff Bagwell. It had been an awful long time since I'd even heard of him. His performance, as well as those of the two bumbling henchmen, will assuredly go down in the history of cinema as being the worst ever recorded. How these films got financed is beyond me, even though it quite honestly looks like it could have been made in someone's backyard on the weekends.
To sum it up, if you're looking for an awful movie that is on the very fringes of being a guilty pleasure, bordering on masochism, then this is the film for you.

This movie begins in California and Vegas. Agents have to work under cover, they must be sure they do not attract anyone's attention. Therefore - they go on stage: Fu as the worst ever Elvis impersonator, Cobra as a dancer in a topless bar. Maybe that doesn't make any sense so far, but wait for it, you haven't seen yet what Julie Strain wears on a normal day in the office: a leopard stringy thing (the director dryly commented "works for me", quoted from the book "Bullets, Bombs And Babes"). She's one of the good guys this time. Anyhow, the story is about gangsters led by a wrestler named Warrior who smuggles diamonds from Russia and much more. The good guys guess they have a traitor among them, because a computer access code is passed on and the cover of 4 agents is blown. They now have to fight to survive. A lot of action in this Sidaris movie (this is the 11th out of my 12 reviews for the works of Andy Sidaris, in chronological order), beautiful women and a special sense of humor as always. Shae Marks, an "actress with a figure that would make a grown man cry", as Andy Sidaris truthfully wrote in his above-mentioned book, had her first appearance in the series here.

That's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back again. There are far too many men and especially beautiful woman in Hollywood that CAN act, to have wasted good film on this group of characters, and the awful plot, action sequences, and directing. It must have been cast by a hormone raging teen, and directed by ten year old. At first I thought it was done in the early eighties, and was flabbergasted to learn it was 1996. This was nothing more than a complete waste of time. If all you want is to watch busty but somewhat attractive women then this is it. But if you want to watch a movie, this isn't the place to start. It was nothing more than an r rated pornographic attempt at making a regular movie, and it failed.

Julie Strain returns for her fourth Sidaris flick, this time playing one of the goodies, government agency boss Willow Black, who must try to prevent her undercover pals from being bumped off after a computer hacker known as Hard Drive reveals their true identities to ruthless, musclebound, ex-wrestler crime boss The Warrior (Marcus Bagwell). Among those whose lives are in mortal danger: top heavy blonde Cobra (Julie K. Smith), working undercover as a pole dancer; macho hunk Doc (Kevin Light) who has infiltrated The Warrior's smuggling gang, run by Manuel (Sidaris regular Rodrigo Obregón, sporting mutton chops); Shark and Scorpion (Darren Wise and Tammy Parks), who are posing as porn stars, making skin flicks for The Warrior's adult movie business; and a Chinese Las Vegas Elvis impersonator called....you guessed it.... Elvis Fu (Gerald Okamura)!
I can hardly believe I'm typing this, but I'm actually glad that Andy Sidaris decided to return to directing for Day Of The Warrior, the penultimate film in my 'Girls, Guns and G-Strings' box set: he's no Spielberg, but at least he's a better film-maker than his son Drew, whose attempts at emulating his father's formula resulted in two of the dullest films of the whole series. For his return to the world of sex-mad government agents and power-mad criminals, Andy really ramps up the camp, delivering a cheesier, more tongue-in-cheek movie than ever before; silly it most certainly is, but it's also lots of fun. There's bumbling assassins, big explosions, diabolical dialogue ("Delicious. Bring me more!"), fast cars, even faster women, big guns, tiny outfits, soft-core sex, a nifty theme song for Cobra ("She's a lethal lady, yeah she's the Cobra!"), owl death, and a plot that gets more and more daft as matters progress, culminating in a ridiculous wrestling match between The Warrior and Willow & Fu; the only thing that's missing is some gratuitous remote control model action, but I can live without that.
6.5 out of 10, rounded up to 7 for all the gloriously trashy hooker gear that Sidaris makes his 'actresses' wear.

I had an offer for a free movie to watch online from the cable company. Couldn't really find a well known title so just picked this one so at least i had to watch some breasts as the cover/trailer showed. Well, that was really the only thing i get to see. The breast were so big that they filled the screen. NO, they were so big you could see them if you were running three days away from it (bad quote!) I would not recommend this movie unless you are drunk or with friends to have a laugh... If this is the type of movie my cable company is going to provide for it's customers i don't think it will be a big success. Hopefully they are going to raise the standard by a mile or so!
Some direct-to-video action films aren't half bad. Some are so bad they've given DTVs the reputation they've developed. DAY OF THE WARRIOR falls in the latter category. I was working at Blockbuster Video in 1997 when this movie hit the shelves. As soon as I saw the cover (featuring two girls whose outfits looked like it could barely contain them while they each held some big automatic weapons), I knew I had to see it. Forget about a story. Heck, forget about intelligence. This film is about some of the most physically-endowed girls I've ever seen trying to stop a terrorist (who looks like a WWF reject) from doing some evil plot. I don't even remember what the guy was up to, and it's probably just as well. This film has nothing going for it with the exception of a good dose of flesh and gunfire. Shae Marks is hot, and deserves a special award for being not one, not two, but three of the best things about this movie.

The 1996 venture into the L. E. T. H. A. L. franchise sees writer and director Andy Sidaris back at the wheel, taking over after two rather disastrous jabs at the franchise from his son Christian Drew Sidaris.
And with the memory of the two previous not-so-lucky-movies, then I have to admit that I sat down to watch "Day of the Warrior" with almost no expectations. But in all honesty, then I have to say that writer and director Andy Sidaris does manage to step up and bring the boat around, as he managed to get the franchise back on track. Of course one can argue whether or not the L. E. T. H. A. L. franchse ever was on track, but at least he brought the movie back to the level it was before he handed the reigns to Christian Drew Sidaris.
The storyline in "Day of the Warrior" is pretty much as expected from a movie in this franchise, but at least is the excessive focus on lewd sex scenes shelved, and the focal point of "Day of the Warrior" is back on the actual story and the action. That being said, of course there is still nudity and a little bit of sex scenes in the movie, but nothing like the way-too-much-and-over-the-top as in the two previous movies. So yeah, it definitely was nice to see the movie return to form.
The acting was as expected in a movie such as "Day of the Warrior", and if you have seen the previous many L. E. T. H. A. L. movies, then you know what you are getting here. There are returning cast members to the franchise, which included the likes of Julie Strain and Rodrigo Obregón.
All in all, a pretty generic and straight forward venture into the franchise, but you know what you are getting here, for better or worse. And of course, nice to have writer and director Andy Sidaris take charge and bring the franchise back on track.
My rating of "Day of the Warrior" lands on a five out of ten stars.

I was a big time professional wrestling fan years before 2000, and somehow I never heard of this Marcus Bagwell movie until recently. I was hoping there was more of him in the movie. I only kept watching it for one reason, well, maybe two reasons. ;) It's amazing how many people you see these days that have passed away when they were young, e.g. Julie Strain. It just shows you that you need to enjoy your live as long as you are here because you never know when something may happen and those who love you will be missing you. There was some action and other interests in this movie, but it is definitely a B movie, maybe a C movie.
This film essentially begins with the revelation that a breach in security has occurred on the mainframe computer of a secret government agency. Recognizing the danger of having the identities and locations of their secret agents compromised, the supervisor of the Dallas headquarters "Willow Black" (Julie Strain) immediately informs her colleague in Washington D. C. about the data breach at their end and sets about informing the agents at risk. The problem, of course, is that Willow Black has to be able to contact them as soon--and as discreetly--as possible before a man by the name of "the Warrior" (Marcus Bagwell) discovers their real identities. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this film had an okay plot and a number of attractive female actresses to liven up the scenery with Raye Hollitt (as "Kym"), Julie K. Smith ("Cobra") and Tammy Parks ("Scorpion") standing out the most. Unfortunately, the film also contained some really bad dialogue and acting which stood out even more. That being said, I cannot in good conscience rate this film any higher than I have.
Movie exaggerated from every point of view with every male actor looking like Rambo under stereodes and every female actress looking like a supermodel. Lots of shootings, explosions and boobs but very little plot and a stereotypical villain to the point of exaggeration.

Saying I found 'Day of the Warrior' the most entertaining chapter of the Andy Sidaris series is not a comment you should think about too deeply, but hear me out. Every entry follows action formula where the saving grace is often the females on display, but here there's a little bit more. Ridiculous villain, many funny / corny moments and lots of boobs.
LETHAL's mainframe is hacked putting undercover agents infiltrating the operations of ex-CIA man Warrior (Marcus Bagwell) at risk. Willow Black (Julie Strain) must alert her entire team including Tiger (Shae Marks) to takedown the baddie & expose a mole within. Scorpion (Tammy Parks) is posing as a pornstar while Cobra (Julie K Smith) an exotic dancer.
There were more moments here that made me laugh or smile than I want to admit. Julie Strain having a meeting while working out on a Stairmaster in a thong bodysuit. A bit involving an endangered owl, series reg Gerald Okamura doing a Vegas-like Elvis impersonation. Real life pro wrestler portraying a bad guy pro wrestler. His face paint, the fighting, acting - the "delicious" line delivery especially. Silly computer screens. That's not even touching on the series usual array of stock footage, big boobs, stiff acting, an obsession with cars, boats & planes.
Former Penthouse Pet JKS gets showcased a ton and strips during the opening credits telling you this flick isn't going to waste any time. She goes topless twice more in addition to a shower sex scene and shown in a bikini poolside. The enhanced Playmate Marks is a sight to behold topless & in one requisite sex number. Parks, Raye Hollitt & Christiva Turner supply more topless fun. Lastly Strain gets sexed and topless.
'Day of the Warrior' still has the low level action the series was known for, but an increase in humor - some intentional, some not - elevate the standard Sidaris formula. Plus a healthy quota of nudity and Strain & Okamura get to fight for the side of good for once too. Lots of fun.

I'm only writing this to find out if this is the first movie with Spyderco products featured ? Was there one, or two different model's featured
? (Spyderco are world famous Collectable Pocket Knives)
By far not his best work, I missed most of the "regular" cast, as I am a Fan of Sidaris films, Could of given more time to the F40 Ferrari As the acting of more than half the cast was under par,(Even by Sidaris standards) And not as likeable as most of the regular Sidaris cast, some of the jokes worked, most of the action scenes where not as exiting as in most Sidaris films, For me even my 13 year old inner self was not impressed or satisfied.

This is a great movie if you love T&A. The L.E.T.H.A.L. ladies have out done themselves. The action isn't the greatest, but who cares? Pay special attention to the beautiful Shae Marks in her role as Tiger. She is three of the best things on screen
For us well cultured folk.
Just discovered Andy Sefaris in the last little while. Hilariously cheesy action! Big guns, big boots, big explosions! Yes!
