A delirious Nielsen wanders into camp looking for help, but he's rather surly about it. Back east as were the times then the Irish got good and kicked around and did the dirtiest jobs out there for sustinance,
It's hard to accept he helping hand John McIntire and he rest of the people offer with no strings attached.
Leslie Nielsen and Pal Fix give some fine performances and quite a rivalry develops between Nielsen and Robert Fuller about over just about everything.

- TriviaWagon Train Tracker: Only geographic reference is to being en route to "Tappet Springs," entirely fictional. But, make it a stand-in for Big Springs, Nebraska (though depicted terrain is incongruous), and that would place the train moving west on the Oregon Trail through western Nebraska.
- GoofsAt the start, a man, delirious walks onto the camp at night. You can see his shadow on rocks, and the sky.
- Quotes
Christopher Hale: What's the matter with you?
Charlie Wooster: You remember the Basker and McDonald wagon train?
Christopher Hale: Well, certainly, I remember. What about it?
Charlie Wooster: It happened right here where we're standing. The Apaches scalped every last one of 'em. Makes the chills run down my back just to think about it.
Christopher Hale: That was years ago, Charlie.
Charlie Wooster: Yeah, but they say all them spirits are floating around here, every last one of 'em.
Christopher Hale: You don't believe those old prairie tales, do you?
Charlie Wooster: I keep telling myself I don't. But my bones tell me I'm a liar.
