About 15-20 uses of "fuck," some used sexually, and 10-15 of "shit." Profanity also includes "damn", "hell," and "jesus," throughout. 2 uses of "cunt" as well.

Alcoholism is a minor theme throughout the movie. A lot of alcohol is consumed on varying occasions. At one scene young adults are seen partying, taking ecstasy at a club and drinking. Some brief smoking by a young man.

The movie follows an ex-con who struggles with his reintegration into society. The theme of a childhood murderer can be disturbing when we are forced to sympathize with a very likeable main character.

We see a frightening scene of a murder that can be very disturbing, as it is children killing another child.

Violence and psychotic behavior between children can be disturbing to some people.

The movie overall is not very explicit but the emotional rollercoaster ride can be intense and the ending is especially intense and depressing.

A fair amount of the outcome of some scenes in this movie are up to the viewer to decide what happens. Because of this, people with a strong imagination can find it especially disturbing.
