"The Accountant 2" has been filed into movie theaters across the U.S. The movie reunites director Gavin O'Connor and Ben Affleck as Christian Wolff, a savant accountant and vigilante, but many (including /Film) have called this sequel an improvement over the 2016 original.
Ah, 2016. That was a lynchpin year for Ben Affleck's career, but not in a great way. He starred in three movies, none of them hits either critically or commercially. After his early 2000s rough patch, Affleck had been back on the upswing since 2006's "Hollywoodland." For the next ten years, he proved himself as a director (first with 2007's "Gone Baby Gone") and as an actor worthy of respect. When he was cast as Batman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," it seemed like Affleck's movie star redemption was complete. Sure, Bat-fans had their doubts at first, but he was joining the superhero boom as one of the world's biggest superheroes.

We now have a good glimpse at something that could have been in this year's "Captain America: Brave New World." Specifically, we have our best look yet at Tim Blake Nelson's The Leader in his practical makeup in the film. It is, to put it mildly, quite the departure from what we ended up with. We know a lot changed with this movie throughout its lengthy development process -- even the original subtitle, "New World Order," was changed along the way. Nelson's look was evidently one of the big changes made during reshoots. Check it out for yourself:

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners brought a much-needed win for Warner Bros. movie chiefs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy. After a string of disasters, including Joker 2 last year, De Luca and Abdy were reportedly in a bad position at WB. However, A Minecraft Movie and Coogler’s period vampire thriller were enough to save their jobs and secure their immediate future at the company.
For Coogler’s film, De Luca and Abdy beat Sony and Universal, who were engaged in a bidding war for the distribution rights. The Black Panther director chose WB after the execs agreed to a deal that caused a bit of a ruckus in the press. According to the deal, WB would revert the rights of the film back to Coogler after 25 years.

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners has not only glorified the director but also redeemed some big names in the industry. Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, Warner Bros.’ movie chiefs, were facing a Hollywood firing squad—anonymous leaks, pundit countdowns, and whispers of replacements.
Just weeks ago, their jobs hung by a thread after flops like Joker 2. Yet, with Sinners grossing $48 million and A Minecraft Movie hitting $700 million globally, they have staged a comeback that’s the talk of Tinseltown. Greenlighting Coogler’s Sinners would have cost them their designations, but they are proud they made the right decision.

For weeks, it wasn’t a matter of if Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy were getting fired — it was when. The Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group co-chairmen and co-CEOs had been put on executive death watch, the Hollywood equivalent of dead men walking. Anonymous quotes were flying. Pundits were counting down. Their replacements were being openly speculated about — reportedly even interviewed. And then came … a vampire.
The box office success of Sinners — Ryan Coogler’s genre-bending bloodsucker epic — didn’t just deliver a much-needed win for original filmmaking. It may have saved the jobs of the veteran execs who greenlit it. Coming on the heels of A Minecraft Movie’s record-breaking launch, Sinners pulled in $48 million domestically in its opening weekend and won over both critics and audiences, offering what looks a lot like a last-minute reprieve for the embattled duo.

Superman will soon take to the skies again, and DC Studios co-head James Gunn is keen for us all to watch. With the upcoming "Superman," the director has seemingly crafted an ode to the Man of Steel's essential and unwavering goodness to remind us that such a thing exists during a time when the world seems to be perpetually suspended in a state of tumult and disarray. He is, of course, also responsible for bringing DC back to cinematic prominence following an ignoble end to the erstwhile DC Extended Universe, so he sort of needs us all to watch, too.
Thus far, however, Gunn and Warner Bros.' attempts to build the necessary hype haven't been all that effective. The trailer for "Superman" didn't just need to sell a movie, but an entire shared universe, and I'm not sure it did that by itself. Then, Gunn and co. let...

What are we to do in an age where streaming services are so crammed with content (yet never seem to have the movie I want) to the point we're paralysed by the tyranny of choice? Well, we can start by not paying for the privilege, and free streamer Tubi just happens to have what might be the most capacious catalog of media in the streaming game.
Fox's free service claims to offer "the largest collection of premium on-demand content," with an alleged 275,000 movies and TV episodes and more than 300 originals. That's more than anyone could watch in a lifetime, but at least we're not paying to mindlessly scroll the interface until we give up. What's more, if you let Tubi users be your guide, there's a ready-made watch list in the form of the top 10 charts. Don't be put off by the fact that Jennifer Garner's crime thriller flop...

Many consider Batman the greatest superhero because he has no fantastic powers, even though he's also far from an everyman. It's not just his resources and wealth that make Bruce Wayne an exceptional individual, it's his determination. But just as Batman's all-too human body can be broken, his will is only mostly invincible. Before Bane broke the Bat's back in "Batman: Knightfall," Deacon Joseph Blackfire broke his spirit in "Batman: The Cult."
The Deacon is the villain of that 1988 four-issue comic, written by Jim Starlin and drawn by artist Bernie Wrightson, and leader of the eponymous cult. Religion is not a frequent theme in Batman stories. This makes Blackfire, who dresses and speaks like a priest, stand out all the more compared to Batman's usual eccentric foes.
"The Cult" begins in media res, with Batman chained up inside the Cult's underground lair.

The Flash took a bit of a hit to his cultural credibility when 2023's "The Flash" became a box office bomb of super-heroic proportions. But the character himself shouldn't have to bear the brunt of the DC Extended Universe's missteps. After all, he's still the fastest man alive, which considering the amount of superheroes with super-speed should frankly make him a more popular character than he is. As successive comic book storylines have proven, The Flash can outrun anyone and anything. From evacuating entire cities in milliseconds to outrunning death itself, this super-hero isn't just super-fast, he's literally inconceivably fast. After all, can you imagine perceiving events that take place in 0.000000000000000001 of a second? Didn't think so. You know who can? The Flash.
As with so many comic book characters, there have actually been several individuals to take on the Flash mantle throughout his almost 90-year run. First appearing in...

"This is going to be the most expensive home movie I ever made." Those are the alleged words of director Matthew Vaughn, according to Christopher Mintz-Plasse, one of the stars of 2010's "Kick-Ass." In an interview with Chron at the time, the "Superbad" star explained that Vaughn's R-rated superhero movie "almost didn't get made" and that "nobody wanted to touch it."
That all may be hard to imagine now. Why wouldn't a studio want to back a comic book movie with a killer cast? And this is Matthew Vaughn we're talking about! But 2010 was a very different time. Vaughn hadn't yet reinvented the "X-Men" franchise with "First Class," nor had he delivered the "Kingsman" property. He was merely a stylish filmmaker...

The single most elusive Hollywood entertainment commodity is a sure thing; a title that somehow generates an absolute certainty of success. Some say this doesn’t exist (Warner Bros., after all, was probably extremely confident when it greenlit Joker 2). Yet there is an upcoming TV show that is arguably a sure thing, or the closest we’ll likely ever see to one — Warner Bros. Discovery’s biggest IP bet, HBO’s Harry Potter, which earlier this week announced its core adult cast. Yet there are also three big hurdles that observers have wondered about, which we’ll get to shortly.
Harry Potter will reimagine J.K. Rowling’s seven fantasy novels, which have sold more than 600 million copies worldwide, and its eight movie adaptations have cumulatively grossed $7 billion-plus. Each season will cover one of the seven books, with Succession writer Francesca Gardiner as showrunner and Game of Thrones veteran Mark Mylod directing several episodes.

Doctor Doom will take over the Marvel Cinematic Universe when "Avengers: Doomsday" hits multiplexes come 2026. In the meantime, however, Victor von Doom has achieved something almost as impressive: total world domination.
Marvel Comics' big crossover event of 2025 is "One World Under Doom" by Ryan North and R.B. Silva. Marvel has now shared an exclusive preview of "One World Under Doom" #3 with /Film.
Back in the 2024 event "Blood Hunt," Doom stole the title of Sorcerer Supreme from his rival Stephen Strange. Now Master of the Mystic Arts, Doom has expanded his domain out from Latveria. Doom has always sought to rule the world because he would do the best job doing so. Or, at least, because he wanted to prove to himself that he deserved to rule. Spoilers for "Daredevil: Born Again" follow.
About halfway through watching the "Daredevil: Born Again" season 1 finale, I had one dominant thought: "How are they going to wrap all this up in this episode?" Turns out the answer was simple: They weren't! The show has already been renewed for season 2, so with that guarantee of more, "Daredevil: Born Again" season 1 ends on a cliffhanger.
Watching this finale might remind Marvel Cinematic Universe fans of the ending of "Avengers: Infinity War." "Born Again" season 1's ending isn't quite as cataclysmic as half of all life in the universe fading away, but it's still a decisive loss for Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and the good guys.
Mayor Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) wastes no time reeling from Bullseye's (Wilson Bethel) attempt on his life in the last episode, because it plays into his larger plan. Fisk enacts martial law and cuts off the city's power.

DC doesn't know the meaning of the word restraint. From Jonah Hex to Batman and even the fluffy Super-Pets, it appears like every DC character has received their own feature film at some point in time. Yet, like every other comic book movie fan around the world, we're greedy -- we want and demand more from the powers that be. Give us "Zatanna." Put a brand-new "Swamp Thing" film into production. Heck, greenlight "Black Adam 2" while you're at it -- actually, maybe scratch that last one, because we don't need the hierarchy of power to flatulate again.
While we're always in the mood for new projects, there's a special allure about the what-ifs -- you know, the cancelled DC movies of the past. Look, there's no guarantee that these films would have been any good or even mildly watchable, but there's something about them that keeps the brain pondering the possibilities.

As Hollywood hurtled toward the 1970s, the American film industry was in the midst of a revolution. The old studio moguls, who'd been flailing throughout the '60s to slake Baby Boomer audiences' thirst for movies that spoke to their generation, were being replaced by younger executives who understood the future of their business hinged on being able to palpably connect with this massive cohort.
As envelope-shredding movies like "Easy Rider," "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Graduate" became runaway blockbusters, the era's biggest directors and stars spied an opportunity to obtain greater creative and financial control of their movies. Since even the young execs were scrambling to figure out why Boomers flocked to an adaptation of a publishing sensation like "Love Story," but avoided, say, the film of John Updike's bestseller "Rabbit, Run," striking deals with artists who seemed to have their finger on the pulse of this generation, or...

Borderlands was one of the biggest box-office bombs of 2024. The adaptation of the acclaimed video game franchise grossed just $33 million in theaters and was absolutely trashed by critics. While speaking on The Town podcast, Borderlands director Eli Roth reflected on the failure of the movie, saying Covid played a big part.
“None of us anticipated how complicated things were gonna be with Covid,” Roth said. “Not just in terms of what we’re shooting, but then you have to do pick-up shots or reshoots, and you have six people that are all on different sets, and every one of those sets is getting shut down because the cities have opened up, and now there’s a Covid outbreak and it was just like… we couldn’t prep in a room together, I couldn’t be with my stunt people, I couldn’t do pre-vis, everyone’s spread all over the place.

More Beetlejuice is on the way! Warner Brothers co-chairman/CEOs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy have confirmed that development on Beetlejuice 3 will begin "imminently" as soon as the deals are finalized.
Chatting with Deadline, Abdy and De Luca discussed the recent hits and misses at Warner Bros., from successful box office hits like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Minecraft to misses like Joker 2.
Tim Burton returned to direct Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which also saw the return of Michael Keaton as the titular character, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, and Catherine O'Hara as Delia Deetz. The sequel also featured several exciting new characters, such as Jenna Ortega as Lydia's daughter, Astrid, and Justin Theroux as Lydia's new boyfriend, Rory. Willem Dafoe, Burn Gorman, and Monica Belluci were also part of the 2024 film. It grossed over $451 million at the global box office, becoming one of last year's most profitable films.
Given that, it's not surprising that Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. will always love you and is in the works to remake a romantic, box office ’90s hit. Warner Bros. Pictures will remake the 1992 film “The Bodyguard” starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, the studio’s film chiefs announced in an interview Friday.
“The Bodyguard” starred Costner as a former Secret Service agent as a man who takes a job protecting an R&b singer with a lifestyle far different than what he’s accustomed to and whom is being pursued by a stalker. The film was released at the height of Whitney Houston’s pop stardom and includes some of her classic hits including “I Will Always Love You,” and it also was nominated for two Oscars for Best Original Song. The film made $411 million worldwide, and Warner Bros. has even tried to remake the property before, including most recently in 2011.
Warner Bros. has already attached a director and writer to the project.

As markets continued their downward skid Monday thanks to President Donald Trump’s tariffs, there was one stock bucking the trend: that of Warner Bros. film heads Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy.
Warner Bros. and Legendary’s A Minecraft Movie bested already high expectations at the weekend box office to earn a massive $162.7 million domestically and more than $313 million in worldwide ticket sales in its opening weekend. After a string of underperforming titles — and a rumor mill that has been churning since the top of the year about De Luca and Abdy’s fate at Warners — Minecraft is the type of win that should silence critics. In a memo to Warner Bros. Discovery staff, De Luca and Abdy touted the success, writing, “This is what happens when we believe in the power of our creativity, each other, and the strength of great storytelling.”

Where would superhero movies be without Tim Burton's "Batman?" Well, for one thing, we wouldn't have the memory of witnessing Michael Keaton's Batman being shoehorned into the superheroic bomb that was 2022's "The Flash." More seriously, Burton's 1989 mega-hit not only directly influenced the trajectory of superhero movie evolution, it changed the way studios marketed their blockbusters and re-established Batman in the public consciousness as the dark avenger first introduced in 1939's "Detective Comics" #27.
The fact the movie exists in the first place is nothing short of miraculous. "Batman" was a major risk in 1989. Aside from the fact the Christopher Reeve-led "Superman" films had gone out with a whimper in 1987 with "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace," the Dark Knight just wasn't a reliable blockbuster IP at that stage. Still very much seen by the public as the clownish figure from Adam West's 1960s TV series,...

Marvel fans holding out hope that Kingpin will show up in one of the movies sometime soon, it's best not to hold your breath. Vincent D'Onofrio, the actor who has brought the villain to life on screen dating back to Netflix's "Daredevil" series, has made it clear that, for the time being, the character can't appear in any of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Why not? It all has to do with pesky rights issues.
D'Onofrio recently spoke with Josh Horowitz on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast. The actor is currently appearing as Kingpin in "Daredevil: Born Again" on Disney+, and when asked about the possibility of appearing in an MCU movie, like the upcoming "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," D'Onofrio was forced to pour some cold water on the situation. Here's what he had to say about it:
"The only thing I know is not positive. It's a very hard thing to do,...

"Daredevil: Born Again" returned Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) to TV screens. The series opened on a tragic note as he lost a close friend to sharpshooting villain Bullseye (Wilson Bethel).
In the current run of "Daredevil" at Marvel Comics, writer Saladin Ahmed recently had Matt face a similar choice regarding Bullseye. Previous "Daredevil" writer Chip Zdarsky ended his run with an amnesiac Matt becoming a priest. Ahmed picked up from there, but Matt was always going to go back to being Daredevil — he was back in the costume before the end of issue 1! What prompted that?
At the end of Zdarsky's run, Matt literally went to Hell and back, and something came with him. In a turn right out of "Fullmetal Alchemist," Daredevil has been fighting demons, each embodying one of the seven deadly sins. The story included in issue #19 with the sin that's strongest in Matt; not Pride, but Wrath.

David Zaslav’s Plans for WB Is Death of Cinema After Seth Rogen Exposed Dark Reality in ‘The Studio’

WB chief David Zaslav is reportedly looking for candidates to replace the Entertainment division’s co-CEOs, Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy. The controversial chief of WB Discovery has been known for his preference for big IPs over original films, and with the upcoming year, he plans to focus on just that.
While WB is one of the ‘Big Five’ studios in Hollywood, it seems to have fumbled with its last few releases. The misses from De Luca and Abdy with some high-budget auteur-driven films have reportedly led Zaslav to disapprove of their decisions to spend a lot of money on them and wants the studio to focus more on big IPs.

A recent rumor that David Zaslav might be thinking about making a major change at Warner Bros. following a number of box office disappointments appears to have been confirmed.
According to Bloomberg, the Warner Bros. Discovery CEO is currently engaged in "early and informal" talks with potential successors to studio heads Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy. Joker: Folie à Deux's abysmal box office performance is believed to be a major reason for the change, but Todd Phillips' critically-panned sequel is not the only recent WB movie to underperform at the box office.
Bong Joon Ho's Mickey 17 will reportedly end up costing the studio between $75 million to $80 million over the course of its theatrical run, and the studio is also coming off another bomb in Alto Knights - although Zaslav is believed to have greenlit the movie himself despite others voicing concerns about it having limited prospects.

A powerhouse voice, striking presence, and villainous edge – this singer-turned-actress could’ve been the literal Evil Queen in Snow White. While Gal Gadot held her own, she lacked the icy menace Charlize Theron mastered. This star, though, had every damn thing needed to steal the show.

Disney's Snow White Didn't Have Enough Tune to Sing Heigh-Ho at the Box Office Amid Ongoing Backlash

For months before its Mar. 21 release, Disney's latest release, the live-action Snow White, was plagued with criticism. Among several delays, casting backlash, and more, Snow White didn't have many reasons to sing "Heigh-Ho."
A few weeks ago, Snow White was predicted to win over $60 million domestically, a figure that was updated ahead of the film's release. However, the Thursday preview numbers proved the live-action remake won't be a total disappointment, placing it higher than movies like 2019's Dumbo and Maleficent 2. Now that the early Sunday numbers are here, Deadline reports Snow White opened to $43 million domestically, and an $87.3 million start worldwide.
Despite the ongoing backlash, the film's release was higher than other controversial movies. Last year, the much-criticized Joker 2 sequel, Folie à Deux, made only $40 million at the domestic box office against a projection of up to $70 million in its opening weekend.

I’ve seen some weak excuses for bad writing, but folks, 1923 Season 2 might just take the cake. After Yellowstone, I expected Taylor Sheridan to deliver, but what did we get instead? A scene so unnecessary, so poorly written, it feels like it exists purely to waste screen time.

Look, I ain’t hating. I get that not every moment can be epic. But this is like scriptwriting on autopilot. And Sheridan can do better. Heck, he’s done better. So, why does this scene even exist?

So I finally caught up with 1923 Season 2 and, woah – that scene with the hookers and the one girl trapped in the closet – I think, was absolutely unnecessary. I was appalled. Like, I get it,...

Here’s A Breakdown Of Lady Gaga’s Engagement Rings Over The Years (Photo Credit – Instagram)
After coming out of two serious relationships, Lady Gaga has found love and her fairy tale ending once again with Michael Polansky. However, before saying yes to him, the Joker 2 actress was engaged twice to Taylor Kinney and Christine Carino. Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, recently released her seventh album, Mayhem, in March 2025. If you listen to the songs, it would be very clear that the tracks are a nod to her now fiancé Polansky.
For the unversed, Michael Polansky worked as a co-writer and executive producer, along with a muse for the pop star. Among all the songs, Blade of Grass is a track about finding a lover who can finally satisfy the songstress and become her ever after. It’s comprehensible that she was talking about Polansky and no one else.

2024 had a lot of highs and lows for the superhero genre. For one, there weren't as many cinematic releases as usual, so that's already a low point, but between the disappointing end to the Venom movie series and Sony's other two misses in Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter, it wasn't the best year for the comic book movies.
There was a huge high to balance those lows out, with Deadpool and Wolverine bringing the Marvel Cinematic Universe back to the top of the box office as it earned over $1.3 billion. But there was an equally high-profile low, with the intriguing, daring Joker: Folie à Deux flopping at the box office, earning just a small fraction of what its billion-dollar predecessor made in 2019.
Joaquin Phoenix reprised the titular role while Lady Gaga starred as a variation of Harley Quinn. The film, met with mixed to negative reviews (partially due...

A new report gets into Joker: Folie à Deux's choice of not having a screen test. Joaquin Phoenix's first time as Batman's greatest villain was a major success, netting the actor a Best Actor Oscar and amassing over $1 billion worldwide. However, the sequel could not follow suit. Joker: Folie à Deux's overwhelmingly negative reviews spelled doom for the DC movie from the start, and by the end of its theatrical run, the film was left with $207.5 million on a $200 million budget, which means it lost the studio quite a lot of money.
According to Puck, a top executive from another studio panned DC/Warner's decision not to have Joker: Folie à Deux screen test, calling it "utter malpractice." It was November 2023 when Lady Gaga and Will.i.am were spotted mysteriously leaving a restaurant with giant folders in their hands. A PopCrave tweet reported the occasion to be a “four-hour dinner,” and the pair of musicians were photographed leaving separately. At the time, fans — hungry for new music from Gaga — speculated that maybe something was in the works.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone about the album, Gaga finally addressed the encounter with her Black Eyed Peas friend.

Todd Phillips' Joker: Folie à Deux will likely go down as one of the most notorious flops in comic book movie history, as the sequel's box office underperformance and negative critical reception were made all the more surprising by the first film's huge level of success.
Though the downbeat musical does have its defenders, Phillips' creative choices just didn't click with the majority of cinema goers. The lead performances from Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga did come in for a lot of praise, but it didn't stop the pair from being nominated for - and winning - several Razzie awards.

Lady Gaga returned to Saturday Night Live on March 8, 2025, taking on both hosting and musical guest duties. It was her second time hosting the show, and she kicked things off with a monologue that blended humor with updates on her career. Gaga didn’t shy away from poking fun at some bumpy moments, including her acting journey and a controversial past performance.
The pop star looked back at her first hosting gig in 2013, when she was 27 years old. Now 38, she quipped about how time has flown. “Last time I hosted ‘SNL,’ I was 27. Live from New York, it’s Lady Gaga…and she has some things to say. Lady Gaga took on both hosting and music duties on this weekend’s SNL, but it was her opening monologue where she had the most to say, taking a bit of a dig at flop Joker: Folie à Deux and its Razzie wins.
During her monologue while hosting SNL, Lady Gaga said, “Anyway, I’m an actor now. I select films that would showcase my craft as a serious actor, films such as Joker 2. Lady Gaga returned to "Saturday Night Live" on March 8, 2025, hosting the show for the first time since 2013. In the 12-year since her last hosting gig, a lot has happened in Gaga's life. She's not just one of the most talented musicians of her generation anymore, she's also a movie star.
In Gaga's opening monologue, she shouted out her most recent acting gig: the less-than-beloved "Joker: Folie à Deux." Gaga, of course, played Harley "Lee" Quinzel, a groupie for Arthur Fleck/The Joker (Joaquin Phoenix). "Folie à Deux" had some fans but by most metrics it was a failure. Most critics hated it and, despite a higher budget, it only made about a fifth of the original's $1 billion box office gross.
Fortunately Gaga has always had a sense of humor about herself. On "SNL," she poked fun at "Joker: Folie à Deux" and herself for starring in it, joking: "I've been...

Joker: Folie à Deuxis infamous for how much it underperformed upon release last year, bombing at the box office and garnering rather harsh reviews. It was even given several Golden Raspberry Award (Razzie), including Worst Sequel along with Worst Screen Combo for Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix.

Lady Gaga spun some comedy out of some of her less glamorous career developments in her return to “Saturday Night Live,” cracking jokes about incarcerated singer and producer R. Kelly.’ I won’t bring it up!” The pair had performed together on the episode, years before R. Kelly was charged and convicted for racketeering and sex trafficking.
Gaga immediately segued into talking about her more recent, renewed focus on screen acting, which has included praised performances in “A Star Is Born” and “House of Gucci.” But...

Lady Gaga kicked off her Saturday Night Live episode with some jokes about her movie Joker: Folie à Deux.
“Anyway, I’m an actor now,” the Oscar and Grammy winner says during her opening monologue before quipping, “I select films that would showcase my craft as a serious actor, films such as Joker 2. Apparently, people thought it was awesome. Joaquin [Phoenix] and I even got nominated for a Razzie, which is an award for the worst films of the year. So we won worst onscreen duo.”
She continues, “But jokes on them. I love winning things. My Razzie brings me one step closer to an Egort. It’s like an Egot, but it’s hurtful.”
Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to 2019’s Oscar-winning Joker, was nominated for seven Razzies after bombing at the box office last year. The movie ultimately won the Razzies for worst screen combo of Phoenix and Gaga and worst sequel.

Mike Myers was back tonight as Elon Musk for another SNL cold open.
After the March 6 closed-door cabinet meeting blow up between Marco Rubio and Elon Musk, SNL had Donald Trump brokering a truce between Secretary of State “good little Marco” and the SpaceX owner over Doge’s root canals on the U.S. government — with some White Lotus and Dr. Evil tossed in there.
“You’re the Goat, you’re the scapegoat, but it is still a goat,” James Austin Johnson’s Trump told Marcello Hernández’s Rubio. “Who the hell does he think he is?” SNL’s Potus asked himself of his 2016 GOP nomination rival. “Adrien Brody?”
SNL’s Rubio may think he’s the two-time Oscar winner, who gave a particularly long Oscar speech, but the show’s latest Elon proudly called himself “tech support,” as the real-life Musk does too.
Tossing the one-liners around, some directly from the real Trump,...

In the lead-up to Lady Gaga’s latest album, Mayhem, there’s been a lot of talk about Gaga returning to her roots. It’s been five years since her last pop release, the Nineties-house-inspired, cyberpunk concept album Chromatica. Chalk it up to timing (it was released at the dawn of the pandemic), but the album didn’t inspire the type of fervor it deserved upon its release. Since then, she’s been back to focusing on movies and jazz, even combining those other two modes for Harlequin, a companion...

Lady Gaga’s seventh album, Mayhem, is out now. The LP follows 2020’s Chromatica and her Joker 2 companion, Harlequin, from 2023.
Executive produced by Gaga, her fiancé, Michael Polansky, and Andrew Watt, Gaga began rolling out new music last fall. Her Bruno Mars duet, “Die With a Smile,” preceded the album’s other lead singles “Disease” and “Abracadabra,” a pair of heavy, electro-pop tracks. Alongside Mars, the album’s other main feature is Gesaffelstein, a French DJ and producer who has worked extensively with the Weeknd. Cirkut also produced much...

Joker: Folie à Deux continues to be the butt of jokes in the film industry following its much-publicized flop. Even the Academy Awards couldn't resist taking shots at the derided DC sequel as the event made one brutal joke at its expense, with the help of Los Angeles' finest.
Host Conan O'Brien led a segment during the 97th Academy Awards where he introduced members of the Los Angeles Fire Department and had them read some jokes off the teleprompter, saying “Now, I know you’re going to find this hard to believe, but there are some jokes even I’m not brave enough to tell,” before adding, “On behalf of myself, would you please read what’s in the prompter? Remember — everyone in this audience has to laugh; these are heroes!” LA Fire Department captain Erik Scott started the segment with a fiery joke about Folie à Deux, referencing the...

Last night's Academy Awards show was a relatively scandal free affair, but one particular joke did result in some gasps from the celeb-filled audience in attendance.
At one point, O'Brien introduced the heroic members of the LA Fire Department who battled this year’s devastating Palisades and Eaton wildfires, and used the opportunity to slip in a few of his... harsher gags.
