For the entire first season of filming, Anderson and DeVine lived in the house where their characters live in the show. They were convinced that the show was going to get cancelled, so they did it to save money.
In scenes where Adam's legs are shown, his lower legs are usually covered by socks because he has such horrific scarring on his legs after being run-over when he was little.
Both Adam Devine and Anders Holm worked as telemarketers in high school and college.
They have often stated in interviews, that about thirty-six percent of the show was improvised.
Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, Anders Holm, and Kyle Newacheck all knew each other before the show, and had a YouTube channel called "Mail Order Comedy". They had several YouTube videos that included a web series, called "5th Year", which Comedy Central noticed, and on which this show was based. The original YouTube channel is still online.
