Italian metal veterans Lacuna Coil have announced a new album titled Sleepless Empire. In advance of its February 14th release, the band has unleashed the single “Oxygen.”

Earlier this year, Lacuna Coil released the collaborative singles “Hosting the Shadow” (featuring Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe) and “In the Mean Time” (featuring New Years Day singer Ash Costello). Both of those tracks will appear on Sleepless Empire, which contains 11 songs in total.

Regarding the new song and its accompanying music video, co-vocalist Cristina Scabbia stated, “‘Oxygen’ is a powerful exploration of emotional struggle and inner conflict. The lyrics convey a sense of drowning in a toxic environment, both literally (in the video) and metaphorically, where attempts at salvation, represented by ‘oxygen’ are somehow futile. The 62-year-old Sleepless in Seattle actress stepped out to do some shopping with daughter Daisy True Ryan on Wednesday (August 28) in New York City.

Meg wore a white T-shirt with black pants while Daisy, 20, wore a butterfly-print blouse with jeans as they stopped by a bookstore to get some new reads.

If you didn’t know, Meg adopted Daisy from China in 2006 when she was 2-years-old. Meg is also mom to son Jack Quaid, whom she shares with ex-husband Denis Quaid.

In an interview with Glamour in 2023, Meg opened up about her movie What Happens Later, which she starred in along with co-writing the screenplay. In the movie, Meg‘s character gave up a baby for adoption and believes that her child found loving parents.

“I put that in there because my daughter is my daughter,” Meg shared in her interview.

Meg Ryan is set to receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award at the 30th Sarajevo Film Festival in recognition of her contribution to the film industry.

The star will also present a special screening of her 1998 romantic comedy You’ve Got Mail, co-starring Tom Hanks, at the Coca-Cola Open Air Cinema, the same venue where the film was first screened 25 years ago at the fest’s fifth event.

Ryan will also hold a master class moderated by Bosnian director Danis Tanović, best known for his Oscar-winning film No Man’s Land. Ryan’s latest work, 2023’s What Happens Later, will also screen at the festival. Rosie O’Donnell has joined the Season 3 cast of Max’s Sex and the City continuation, TVLine has confirmed. The actress and comedian first revealed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the season premiere script. The episode is titled “Outlook Good” and written and directed by showrunner Michael Patrick King, and O’Donnell revealed that her character’s name is Mary.

Today, Deadline reports that Dario Argento Panico has been acquired by the Shudder streaming service, and they’re planning to start streaming the in film the U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand on February 2nd.

There are few filmmakers as readily and effortlessly associated with the rom-com genre as Nora Ephron. With warm and fuzzy rom-coms like When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle, Ephron defined the quintessential charm of 90s romance. So, it came as a surprise to see the auteur filmmaker directing the dark comedy, Lucky Numbers in 2000, a movie which was so devoid of the signature Ephron tenderness and joy that you just couldn’t trace any of her signature essence in it. Unlike Ephron's previous works where you couldn't help but root for two individuals to get together, here, you are, at best, apathetic to the romance of the couple, and at worst, annoyed every time they share the screen together.

Released on Wednesday, the first look at the upcoming Bleecker Street film directed by and starring Ryan sees Bill (Duchovny) and Willa (Ryan) stranded in an airport after their flights to Austin and Boston are indefinitely delayed amid inclement weather.

Together — with the narration of an uncannily aware airport announcer — magical thinker Willa and catastrophic thinker Bill must navigate their unexpected connection that sees them not only thrust together, but, once again, equally attracted to and annoyed by each other.
