"She's not who I thought she was...! She's a total badass secret agent." Magenta Light Studios (a brand new distributor in town) has revealed the first official trailer for Bride Hard, a totally ridiculous action comedy arriving in theaters nationwide in June this summer movie season. A very cheesy concept mashup - take a spy comedy and wrap up with a wedding comedy about a maid of honor who also happens to be an assassin, and here we go. Also looks similar to JLo's Shotgun Wedding last year. It's directed by action movie veteran Simon West. This summer – you are invited to one unforgettable wedding. "Grab your bride or die." When a mercenary group takes a lavish wedding hostage, they have no idea what they are in for as the Maid of Honor is actually a secret agent ready to rain hell-fire upon anyone who dares to ruin her best friend's wedding.

Brett Goldstein joked that bringing “Ted Lasso” back for a fourth season — after it was intended to only run for three — is kind of like a horror movie, comparing it to never knowing if it’s really dead.
The actor, who plays Roy Kent on the Emmy-winning series and is also a writer and executive producer on the series, told an anecdote about a friend’s dead cat on a recent episode of NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast that was a perfect analogy to “Ted Lasso’s” return.
“I have a friend that I went to university with, and I think about this a lot,” he began.

Brett Goldstein has confirmed that a fourth season of Ted Lasso is in development, a shift from the original plan for the show to end after three seasons. Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent and serves as a writer and producer, said during an appearance on NPR’s Wild Card podcast that the new season is already in the writing phase.
Goldstein described the revival using a story from his childhood about a friend who believed he had brought a cat back to life. The friend, as a child, had buried what he thought was his pet after it had been hit by a car. The next day, the real cat returned home. “They buried the cat in the garden, and he lay in bed so sad, so upset and crying, and he prayed and he prayed and he wished,” Goldstein said. “And then the cat did come back, and it...

Ted LassoSeason 4 has opened its writer's room and is well on its way. But series star Brett Goldstein is still awestruck about the show coming back in the first place, and he used a very Roy Kent-esque metaphor to describe how he was feeling.
While on the Wild Card podcast with Rachel Martin, Goldstein told a slightly offbeat story about a dead cat when asked about Ted Lasso. “I have a friend that I went to university with, and I think about this a lot,” he said, via Deadline. “He had a cat that died. He loved his cat, and the cat was run over, and they buried the cat, buried it. And he was a child."
The story sounded like it was turning into Stephen King's Pet Sematary before Goldstein went on, "They buried the cat in the garden, and he lay in bed so sad, so upset and crying,...

With season 3 of Ted Lasso, we were left both heartbroken and satisfied as the finale was touching, but it also felt like a bittersweet goodbye. Despite its near-perfect ending, the show has been revived for a fourth season.
Brett Goldstein, who is a writer on the show and also plays the beloved Roy Kent, shared a haunting analogy about its revival. Now, his darkly humorous take has made us wonder if the series needed to return or if the three-season arc was enough.

The surprise Ted Lasso season four renewal has Brett Goldstein’s head spinning a bit.
During a recent interview on NPR’s Wild Card podcast, the actor-writer-producer, who plays Roy Kent, shared that he’s “in the writers’ room at the moment” for the Apple TV+ series’ revival, which he also compared to a cat coming back from the dead.

Brett Goldstein recently commented on Ted Lasso‘s upcoming revival… but it sounded more like something out of a Stephen King story.
The series writer and Roy Kent actor compared the Apple TV+ series’ long-gestating fourth season, which he confirmed is “in the writers’ room at the moment,” to a friend’s cat that was seemingly brought back from the dead.

It’s real, folks—Ted Lasso is officially renewed for Season 4. What seemed like an impossible dream actually turned into reality, and fans’ persistence was one of the many reasons Apple TV+ ordered another installment.
Brett Goldstein, who played Roy Kent, will return as executive producer and co-writer of the series, although the network did not specify his possible reprisal of the role. As one of the fan-favorite characters, it would be a shame not to see him again in the show.
More Ted Lasso episodes aren’t that bad, according to Brett Goldstein

One of Jason Statham’s action movies that celebrated its 10th anniversary a few years ago has returned to streaming charts. Statham stars opposite Jennifer Lopez in Parker, the 2013 heist caper film following a thief with a unique code of ethics who is double-crossed and left for dead by his crew. After assuming a new disguise and connecting with a woman on the inside, he begins his mission to take his old crew’s newest score. Wendell Pierce, Nick Nolte, Bobby Cannavale, and Patti LuPone also star in Parker, which earned “rotten” scores of 41% from critics and 48% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. Parker premiered on Tubi on April 1 and has made its way to the #3 spot on the streamer’s charts.

Kyle Richards reached out to Garcelle Beauvais after she announced her departure a few weeks ago.
However, the Og has yet to hear back from her former castmate.
During a recent interview, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star gave an update on their rocky relationship, noting it’s at a standstill.
That’s unsurprising, seeing as the duo went head-to-head during the reunion, with Kyle calling Garcelle and Sutton Stracke “mean girls.”
Garcelle was forced to fend for herself because Sutton took a back seat despite agreeing with her all season.
Meanwhile, Erika Jayne and Dorit Kemsley also went after Garcelle, which proved too much for the mom of three.
She eventually walked off the reunion stage and never looked back.
Weeks later, Garcelle quit the show.

Elizabeth Olsen has expressed her desire to make movies outside the Marvel franchise that are more to her “personal taste.”
Marvel’s cosmos of film and TV may have made Elizabeth Olsen a global movie star, but she’s recently expressed her desire to make movies that are closer to her “personal taste.” She’s also reflected on Marvel’s changing cultural status, and suggests that attitudes towards it have changed since she first played Wanda Maximoff over a decade ago.
“When I started Marvel, I thought the movies were so, so great,” Olsen said on the Wild Card podcast (via IndieWire). “I thought they were such great Greek-type scale stories that reflected politics and culture in a really lovely way, and so I felt really proud to jump into it.”

Elizabeth Olsen Reflects On Her Journey In & After The MCU: “It’s Not Really The Art That I Consume”

What Did Elizabeth Olsen Say About Her MCU Journey? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Elizabeth Olsen’s place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been nothing short of iconic. From her debut as Wanda Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron to the surreal, emotionally layered WandaVision, she’s taken one of Marvel’s most enigmatic characters and turned her into a powerhouse, narratively and literally.
Her work has drawn praise for its emotional complexity and the way she humanized a character often overshadowed by spectacle. Yet, despite her popularity and critical acclaim, Olsen has always maintained a grounded perspective on her time in the MCU.
In her recent conversation with Rachel Martin on the Wild Card podcast (via ScreenRant), Olsen opened up about what initially drew her to Marvel, why she remains proud of the role, and the artistic space she now finds herself navigating post-Multiverse of Madness.

Elizabeth Olsen has appeared in the MCU since 2014. In addition to her superhero work, she has also appeared in a variety of projects that showcase her acting talents. But despite her impressive resume and acting credits, it seems the actress has something to prove, and no, it has nothing to do with her being a supposed "nepo baby."
In an interview on the NPR Podcast Wild Card, Olsen shared that she felt like she had to prove her movie taste to people. She stated that back in the day, when the Iron Manmovies were coming out, she saw them as great storytelling and that it was able to reflect on politics and culture. But now, as Marvel Studios has become a movie-making juggernaut, the views on superhero films have shifted. Elizabeth Olsen seems like a force to be reckoned with. Outside of her role as the Scarlet Witch, she has made a reputation for herself as a decorated and talented actress who has spent years refining her craft. While her professional life has been extremely successful, it has also been divided like most Marvel stars.

Elizabeth Olsen recognizes how Marvel has culturally changed in the zeitgeist since its popularity soared — and made her a blockbuster star in the process.
The actress, who originally hails from the indie world, has played Marvel‘s Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, for a decade, including on TV’s “WandaVision.” Olsen said during NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast that she was at first “really proud” to star as a superhero. Elizabeth Olsen became a household name for portraying Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, in the MCU. After her introduction in Avengers: Age of Ultron, she became a key character in the universe.
However, after her last outing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the makers left Olsen’s fate in the MCU uncertain. ‘A Working Man’s Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score Lands Inside the Top Five for Jason Statham’s Career

A Working Man is now playing in theaters everywhere, but how does it stack up to other films in Jason Statham’s filmography? That depends on whom you ask. A Working Man earned a “rotten” 51% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but general audiences have given the film a “verified hot” 89%. This 89% score is enough to land in the top five for all Jason Statham’s movies, sitting at #5 at the time of writing, barely ahead of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw at 88% but behind Wrath of Man, which earned a 90%. A Working Man was directed by David Ayer, who worked with Statham prior on The Beekeeper, which earned a 92% rating from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, the third-highest of Statham’s career.
Ironically enough, the two highest-rated projects of Jason Statham’s career, according to audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, are also the two first movies he ever starred in.

Jason Statham wasn’t always an action movie legend. He started out as a competitive diver, and even modeled for Tommy Hilfiger and Levi’s. But as soon as he made his big screen debut in Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” it was obvious. A star was being born.
Statham’s gravely voice, martial arts talent and toned physique served him well, and he quickly became one of the most recognizable action heroes of the 21st century, starring in billion dollar blockbusters and quirky crime thrillers, with a smattering of tough as nails or just plain weird genre films in the middle. And sometimes he also pokes fun at his grizzled persona, proving that he’s having just as much fun as we are.
Not every Jason Statham movie is great, but a lot of them are better than they get credit for. And even the silly ones are often 100% pure Statham.

A trailer for Aquatica, an upcoming Dlc for Ark: Survival Evolved, has been delisted from YouTube after an overwhelmingly negative response. Revealed as part of Gdc 2025, the trailer showcases an underwater-themed Ark expansion, featuring giant, subaquatic dinosaurs and glowing coral reefs. Curiously, the Dlc is being developed for Ark: Survival Evolved - not its enhanced remake Survival Ascended. It's currently scheduled for a June 2025 release.
However, fans have accused the Aquatica trailer of being AI-generated, featuring no real game footage, prompting popular Ark YouTuber Syntac to comment, "You should be ashamed of yourselves." Syntac's comment was only a small part of a much bigger wave of backlash. Less than 24 hours after its initial upload, the official trailer was delisted from YouTube following widespread fan outrage taking over the comments section.

Up next from The Devil’s Doorway filmmaker Aislinn Clarke is Irish-language folk horror movie Fréwaka. A chilling new trailer has arrived ahead of the film’s debut as part of Shudder’s Halfway to Halloween celebration.
The horror movie is set to premiere on Shudder on April 25, 2025.
Fréwaka follows “home care worker Shoo, who is sent to a remote village to care for an agoraphobic woman who fears the neighbors as much as she fears the Na Sídhe — sinister entities who she believes abducted her decades before. As the two develop a strangely deep connection, Shoo is consumed by the old woman’s paranoia, rituals, and superstitions, eventually confronting the horrors from her own past.”
Check out the new trailer and poster below, indicating a claustrophobic folk horror movie ahead.
Clare Monnelly, Bríd Ní Neachtain and Aleksandra Bystrzhitskaya star in the film written and directed by Clarke.

William Goldman’s 1985 novel Heat had the makings of a gritty crime thriller for the big screen with its exploration of the moody life of a former mercenary-turned-bodyguard with a gambling addiction and a desire to flee Las Vegas. Goldman’s novel was adapted twice: The 1986 thriller of the same name starring Burt Reynolds under the direction of Dick Richards and the 2015 version, Wild Card, starring Jason Statham, from director Simon West.

With a 25-year career on his shoulders, director Simon West seems to have a knack for helming remakes. He first set out to bring 1979’s When A Stranger Calls to a present-day audience in 2006. Seeing the decent success that it had at the box office, he then aimed to adapt an even more prestigious title from the '70s, Charles Bronson’s The Mechanic. Actor (and all-around tough guy) Jason Statham was announced to be in the lead role soon after the project was initially developed. The film was praised by critics and welcomed by audiences as well when it was released in January 2011.
Seeing how West was on a roll with reboots, he saw it fitting to continue digging deeper into this filmmaking niche. Could he pull off three successful remakes, though? When it came to his modern take on a 1986 neo-noir thriller, Heat (based on a novel of...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the January 15 episode of Jeopardy!] A Jeopardy! Champions Wildcard Tournament player says that they planned to lose the game that aired on Wednesday, January 15, and his reasoning makes sense. Playing in the Champions Wildcard Tournament in this episode were returning champ Drew Goins (who’s in this competition following his Second Chance win the week prior), Jay Fisher, and Aiden Orzech. Goins had a runaway lead in the first two rounds, with Goins at 2,200, Fisher at 200, and Orzech at -200 at the first break and the second-break scores being Goins at 5,000, Fisher at 2,400, and Orzech at 400. Orzech had a tough time catching up and ended up with -2,400 heading into Final Jeopardy. But Fisher staged an impressive comeback and closed the gap to prevent Goins from winning with a runaway. Fisher’s score heading into the final was 15,400, and Goins’ was 23,400. It was an anticlimactic Final Jeopardy because no one wagered anything due ...

Monday nights are going to be a little football-lite very soon. The last of the NFL Wild Card games airs tonight, Monday, Jan. 13, and you will not want to miss this one.
This is the last night of Monday Night Football for the 2024–2025 season. Yes, it is going to be a big game as well. There was a big showdown the week before as the Detroit Lions proved why they are the No. 1 Seed and why the Minnesota Vikings have been knocked down to the No. 5 Seed.
There’s no way you’ll want to watch the game, especially as it’s the last to air on a Monday this season. You can watch it on broadcast, which is great news for those who like to skip the streaming platforms when it comes to live sports.

Jason Statham's star power stems from an earlier era of filmmaking, and thrillers starring tough guys like Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood. It's never been a particularly noble genre, but it can be quite engaging in the right hands. There's far less of a market for it these days, when superheroes rule the roost and massive special effects are the order of the day. Even action films hearkening back to their heyday of the 1970s and 1980s like The Fast & The Furious franchise use big budgets and massive ensembles to compete with modern mega-franchises.
Statham's work tends to stay lean and mean, and the actor has both the presence and the physical skills to pull it off seemingly without effort. There aren't many performers or filmmakers specializing in the kind of movies he makes, and while not all of them are masterpieces, he's still found his share of winning efforts.

More than five years later, Ilana Glazer is happy about where Broad City ended.
The Emmy winner recently explained why her and Abbi Jacobson‘s Comedy Central series, which was developed from their web series of the same name, ended after five seasons in 2019 despite the opportunity to continue.
“Broad City was like a big [deal],” she explained on NPR’s Wild Card podcast. “We had signed our contract of seven seasons and then, we both came to it, Abbi and I. And Comedy Central was like, ‘Huh?’ We were like ambivalent and unsure, but I think that’s something I would say is elegant about me knowing when things are at their end.”
Glazer added, “And like being able to trust that I am generative beyond this moment, whether it’s a creative project or anything, you know, but I am secure that I will keep generating new layers and do without thinking.

With the future of Ark: Survival Ascended and Ark 2 seemingly unpredictable, the arguments for and against the upgrade staying around have begun. For all its trouble, Ascended has overall been a successful game. It has drawn in massive profits for Studio Wildcard and publisher Snail Games. It has also paved the way for future parts of the franchise, like creature packs and community-created add-ons like quality premium Ark mods.
Meanwhile, Ark 2 seems like a game hanging in the balance. Numerous delays have pushed the game back to a supposed release in late 2024, but with that timeframe closing and no update given, it is unlikely to be this year. However, the possibility does exist that the highly anticipated sequel will be released sooner rather than later.
Ascended Still Has More Content Planned Reason For Ascended
The main reason to keep Ascended going, at least until the sequel is ready, is the content planned.

Jason Statham has starred in two remakes of classic Burt Reynolds movies; one of those remakes fell short of the original, but the other actually surpassed its predecessor. Statham is one of the only remaining old-school movie stars in Hollywood. He has the smoldering charisma of Reynolds, the authentic hard-as-nails badassery of Charles Bronson, and the unabashed coolness of Paul Newman. He’s one of the only actors who can still turn an original story like The Beekeeper into a blockbuster hit at the box office.
But that doesn’t mean all his movies are originals. Statham has headlined his share of franchises, from The Meg to The Transporter to The Expendables, and he’s also joined the ensemble of other stars’ franchises to give them a much-needed shot in the arm, like Fast & Furious. Jason Statham remade not one, but two movies by Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds - it's just a shame their only collaboration sucked so much. Despite making his name in Guy Ritchie gangster comedies, Statham soon made a dramatic gear shift in his career. “I feel like I was far more temperamental when I was younger and things ran very hot at SNL," Meyers noted. "There were definitely times where my instincts were to say something that would have been relationship-ending to people." The...
