Randall Pearson: I don't know.

Jack Pearson: Dam it Randall tell me the answer!
Randall Pearson: [whispers something]
Jack Pearson: Whats that?
Randall Pearson: Thirty four.
Jack Pearson: That's right. Why are you pretending not to know this stuff, huoh? Getting Bs in maths not letting people see how smart you are?
Randall Pearson: I don't want to be different from them.
Jack Pearson: Different from who? Who? The kids from school?
Randall Pearson: If I get an A, I'll get ice-cream and Kate and Kevin won't. And then they'll hate me.
Jack Pearson: Can I be honest with you, man to man? You know you're Mom and me, we always try to treat you kids the same. Always have. Hasn't always worked, because well, you're not all the same. You're adopted and we don't talk about that enough, because to me you are every part my son. And maybe I don't want you to feel like you stand out. But I need you to know something...
