What in the world did I just watch? Such a unique spin on the tired "demonic possession" subgenre, but executed so, SO poorly. Bad acting, poor dialogue, and special effects that make Sharknado look like Avatar. I have three professional critics that I respect and one recommended this highly. How highly? 85/100. I want a little of what he smoked before screening this low budget, aim for the stars and hit the sidewalk mess. Once again, Shudder had picked up a garbage indie on the cheap, slapped "Shudder Original" on it, and got by another week without having to invest in decent programming. Well played Shudder, for now.

This is simply one of the worst movies ever made. I don't know what else to say, but according to iMDB I have to write six hundred words about this trash fire of a film. I have watched several student films, none as bad as this. This supposed movie reaches a level of awful that I previously did not know existed. It had absolutely nothing to say, but it says nothing over and over and over again. The movie is like an episode of the Twilight Zone that wasn't good enough to make the cut. It is awful. I've spent a lot of time saying that. Why is it awful? It has no clue what it wants to do. At all. It is absolutely nonsensical. There's nothing to be gained by watching this dreck.

Shudder strikes again, with another indie horror (allegedly) film that thinks it's SOOOO much more clever than it really is. This one got genre critics as well. It came highly recommended from the few critics I usually trust. The first issue is that the filmmakers have no idea what they are talking about with peyote. At all. Second, the movie has absolutely no idea what it wants to be and spends the first half pretending to be a relationship drama. When the supposed horror finally starts, it's just too little too late. Shudder has become a wasted monthly subscription due to exclusives like this. Not that this is remotely the worst on the service, it's just the average. 5/10 is generous.
