Accompanying and assisting it to that status was more meat to the plot than the previous two films in the form of Jack Hyde and the tonal shift of a tenser, serious nature his subplot brought to the table, one final dose of character growth for Christian Grey to wrap up his trilogy-long character arc, especially following a particular scene with him and Anastasia that was a momentary obstacle, and an all-around engaging relationship to watch progress to a satisfying and surprisingly heartwarming conclusion for them and this trilogy.
