It would it would probably surprise many people how many absolute great films and more than one in English like, Cliffhanger were produced by French companies.
Or the absolutely incomparable Luc Besson and one of his movies everyone will recognize The Fifth Element.
This movie will not disappoint , the action is great, the pacing is uniquely French or ,European.
I'd say the characters are believable, it has to feel of a bigger budget film then it probably is. Unfortunately , many people in North America will never see it, as with so many other great films coming out of Europe you may want to try looking at Belgian for for Movie and TV series some absolutely great stuff there and really good product coming out of Turkey.

There was a time when European Cinema was for art Lovers Only because it just wasn't up 'to our standards'. Lol
Well , most of what I see out of Europe and that includes some great stuff from Turkey great great stuff from Germany and even better from France in the past 20 years is , far superior to so much of the schlock ground out in North America, with some notable exceptions.
There is enough action I think to satisfy the action folks some really okay acting for those who want some good acting.
The leads are believable not glamorous but except for some exceptional skills seem like real people.

Wow what a difference from Canada to United States even though the show may be 20 years old if you watch 20 year old episodes of Cops you see the difference.
This show showcases several things one of them is the inherent politeness of Canadian cops even though they face many of the same issues and problems albeit from different groups of society but pressure is pressure no matter who is exerting it.
I initially didn't realize some or all episodes are 20 years old, then there's another clue when I started seeing mullets and mustaches .
Another that is a giveaway in a number of episodes the officers were carrying revolvers ,well a six shot pistol hasn't been standard issue for a while.
It seems like this is taking place out in the West ,Vancouver ,BC, also in Alberta.
I recognized Edmonton and Calgary and it seems like the police are interacting mainly with Native Canadians in all the cities.
Maybe 20 years ago crack wasn't as big a problem as it is today.
All that being said and done ,there isn't a doubt this is a good show It's a little sad to see how specific segments of Canadian society are in such a rut.
