There's one thing that the baddie, basically, says that is correct: 'dishonesty is bad'. I feel cheated, because the category is wrong, which is misleading because there's zero horror in this film. It's a thriller, plain and simple, with a lot of family drama.
I'm only giving it a six, because actors aren't bad, but, realistically, all things considered, it's a three.
I don't normally dislike a slow burn, but I could barely sit through this. The film is almost two hours long, and it's just way too long for something that has so little going on most of the time, apart from the aforementioned family drama that just drags on and on and on. I bought the entire 'horror' and 'psychological horror' thing, so I'm quite disappointed. I don't recommend this and I have no intention to see this film ever again.

As a big horror fan, I keep getting disappointed with everything that keeps coming out in recent years, especially the abundance of psychological horrors that are mediocre at best.
Oddity is a more of a classic (and classy) supernatural thriller. I can't tell I was particularly scared, but then I'm probably a bit desenticised, but I was definitely intrigued and not bored at all. It's an entertaining film about a strong familial bond and supernatural things that kept me emotionally invested the whole time. The atmosphere is pretty good, too.
Don't expect plenty of action and cheap jump scares, Oddity relies on suspense and mystery instead of that. If that is your thing, I absolutely recommend it.

This is a clever Sci-Fi film, but there isn't much to say about it without giving any major spoilers. I, actually, really enjoyed watching it, even though I normally prefer something with more action. It's quite slow-paced, but in a good way, because it allows you to see how relationships between the characters develop, only to reach the final revelation.
The end scene after the initial titles was both unexpected and not particularly so, because we already know what one of the characters is capable of as a person. So, it appears, after the culmination the cruel experiment continues, and the real test subject in all of this isn't going to be left alone.
