Tired of the old "well it was in the comics and the books had it, so it's okay". I first want to say this is not about skin color, but rather changing the characters to fit an agenda which has become predictable and cringe today. Someone will probably spin this as racist, I'm just speaking how it is.
Turtles were most popular in the 90's based on the 90's cartoon. Personally, they were my favorite cartoon. As most children would, I grew an attachment to my favorite cartoon bringing them from my childhood into adulthood. Hollywood can do what they want but don't expect the older 90's generation to like it when they change what they're used to. Is the new generation even as passionate about the new generation turtles as the old?
Like the old saying goes, if it's not broke don't fix it. Lets make a badass turtles movie and not a cringefest where April is overweight and Donatello listens to Beyonce.
Not all bad. Animation style was cool and Trent Reznor doing the score gave the movie an edge. Unfortunately the cool dark vibe of the score though didn't meet the goofball vibe of the new world turtles. I won't ever watch this again.

This movie made me cringe more than anything. As some previous reviews stated, the all inclusive thing is getting a bit old (all personality types and races) It's way too over the top in this movie. I get it.... Hollywood is gonna keep pushing it no matter what for the new generations.
I found the story to be cringe worthy as well. Plenty of eyerollers and scenes where I had to take a deep breath just to continue. Somehow, it was just barely entertaining enough to stick to the end which is why I gave it 3 stars, but do yourself a favor and skip this one. Even as a cheesy horror slasher that can sometimes be good, this wasn't the winner.

Obviously not as good as the original series, but this was a decent revival. The stories kept my interest, but could have done without the politics.
