This is an absolute must-see series!
It could have actually been a cinema film, this is the perfection of its film making. An epic construction of story telling, acting, costumes, scenery and music offers an utter delight to watch.
As far as I am concerned, this is the best Netflix series I have watched so far.
Based on the Di Lambedusa novel The Leopard, this series presents a striking insight in the political and social life of Sicily in the era of Italian unification through the account of the life and sentimental struggles of the Prince of Salina and his family.
A magnificent mosaic of history, grandeur and passion therefore unveils, masterly articulated in this series where every aspect of film making functions in perfection.
Do not miss it!

I believe the original Blade Runner is one of the greatest films ever made, a real piece of art where everything, story, directing, acting, photography and music blends to perfection. This sequel film unfortunately feels almost all over the place, story is irrelevant and difficult to follow, directing is nerveless and academic, dialogues are riddles, acting is superficial and one dimensional. Photography is flowing in the shades of grey minimalism which leaves us with the only thing that stands out as decent: music, not really the reason for watching a film in general.
I honestly wonder how people give high ratings to this film. You miss nothing if you don't watch it.

This was a very special series indeed. Sci-fish but set in an alternative historical future in Poland. Cinematography was highly artistic following the great polish tradition. A futuristic "film noir" very reminiscent of Blade Runner with great music acting as an essential element for investing sentimentally the scenes and the climaxing of the plot. The atmosphere created,as a consequence, was thoroughly captivating and in combination with the slow evolution of the story made the series catchy and impossible to stop watching it. Actors served the hole project magnificently.
On the downside, as implied above, the story was quite complex and it was completely developed and revealed only in the final two episodes making following it, especially in the rest episodes, a bit of a riddle.
As some things were left unanswered a second season hopefully will be on the way.
