Excited for 1kx to be coleading the latest round for Daylight - the "Onchain for you" API making our onchain experiences more relevant, personal, and delightful
Daylight is the transaction recommendation engine that powers the Home and Discover tabs of wallets like MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Zerion, and OKX Web3 Wallet. Their “onchain for you” API enables dapps to give personalized recommended txns: mints, claims, quests, and more.
Why do we need a transaction recommendation engine?
1) The proliferation of protocols, assets, and dapps has made discoverability harder in web3. New users don’t know where to get started, and cryptonatives lose track of opportunities available to them onchain.
2) Creators and protocols struggle to reach their audience - often relying on minting engines and creator platforms themselves for distribution.
3) Meanwhile, wallets are competing to differentiate, retain, and win new users in an increasingly saturated market.
Daylight began by building a supply of allowlisted and token-gated transactions, and launched a dapp where users can discover opportunities available to them onchain given their specific address history.
By integrating with 40+ creator tools, Daylight's supply of txns and targeting data became invaluable to power a personalisation API.
Daylight delivers these recommended txns through integrations with the most effective distribution channels today - wallets.
By serving relevant, up-to-date, and address-targeted recommendations, the Daylight API became a retention-as-a-service tool to convert passive into transacting users, driving significant impact on the metrics that wallets care about most.
Every month, Daylight makes recommendations to >6M addresses, and has driven $17M in GMV so far. Having earned the trust of leading apps, projects and creators, we are excited to see Daylight...
- Expand txn categories beyond claims and mints
- Integrating across more wallets and continue to drive % transacting addresses
- Grow onchain GDP!
