The webinar on April 17 will provide an introduction to general PFAS chemistry topics, including the different PFAS acronyms, differences between perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances and long-chain and short-chain PFAS, a discussion on what precursors are, and how we might measure precursors in the laboratory. On April 29, presenters will provide an overview of the current understanding of PFAS health effects, including information on individual PFAS with U.S. and international human health toxicity criteria, the adverse health effects used to develop these criteria, and research underway on PFAS exposure and toxicity.
