End Child Trafficking & Exploitation

About us

Our vision is the end of child trafficking and exploitation. Nothing less. Founded in 2002, Love146 is an international human rights organization that journeys alongside children impacted by trafficking today, and prevents the trafficking of children tomorrow. The trafficking of children will end when our collective expectations of what is possible, what is just, and what is effective have been reoriented. We believe that making the world a safe place for children is only possible through a bold, broad vision that cannot be achieved by only one organization or approach. At Love146, we connect the dots to understand how vulnerability operates in the lives of children, and intervene both to care for survivors who have been harmed and ultimately to prevent harm from happening in the first place. Our work is achieved through the power of relationships and collaboration, listening to those with lived experience and diverse backgrounds, scaling proven practices, and challenging the systems that leave children vulnerable. Our core commitment is to do what is best for children. We join courageous young survivors in the fight to end trafficking. They teach us that it takes love. Love opens our eyes, love gives us the courage to pursue justice, and love continually reminds us to be more human. Why is the organization named “Love146”? • Ending child trafficking takes all of us—kids, supporters, staff, and leadership. At Love146, we know this work is deeply human. And it matters who’s leading—not because of their titles, but because of the unique heart and vision each individual brings to protecting children. In this short video, you’ll hear from Co-founder Rob Morris and our new CEO, Glaydon de Freitas. You’ll get a glimpse into who Glaydon is, what drives him, and why we’re hopeful about what’s to come!

  • We want to personally invite you to our first-ever Irons Against Injustice Charity Golf Tournament! It’s not just a great day on the course, it's a chance to support the work of Love146 and help protect kids from trafficking. With an estimated 3.3 million children being trafficked today, prevention is critical. Love146’s Texas office in Houston leads our national prevention education, equipping young people with the tools to stay safe. The event runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with an 8:00 AM shotgun start at Black Horse Golf Club. You’ll enjoy a scenic round of golf, a catered lunch, a complimentary cocktail reception, fun contests, and an awards ceremony to wrap up the day. Come out and be part of something meaningful. www.love146.org/golf

  • For over 7 years (and in all seasons!) Love146's US Survivor Care team has been bringing youth in our care to Wilderness School. It's a positive youth development program for adolescents who have family or behavioral difficulties. Courses are used to promote social skills, enhance self-concept and competence, and foster group cohesion. Many of us enjoy adrenaline, especially adolescents. A thrill can be found in safe and unsafe ways. We help survivors find healthy ways to experience exciting adventures - including times at Wilderness School, as well as activities like snow-tubing, ropes courses, snow-shoeing, zip lining, and amusement parks. Over the years, our youth in the Philippines Survivor Care have had similar experiences of challenge and connection with one another in nature, getting away for retreats at beaches, mountains, and national parks.

  • Over the coming day, our social workers are scheduled to meet 5 youth for the very first time, which means that by the end of tomorrow, our US Survivor Care program has reached over 1,000 children to date. Love146 has impacted the lives of tens of thousands of young people worldwide—through prevention education, awareness, and supporting survivors. One of the most intensive ways we walk alongside these young people is through our US Survivor Care program, where our licensed social workers provide specialized trauma-informed support. It’s amazing we’ve been able to reach this many youth, but also heartbreaking that we’ve had to –– that this many children need care because of this horrific crime: child trafficking. And there are so many more kids out there who still need this type of support. For each of these 5 kids, their stories are still unfolding, but one thing is certain: they won’t have to face it alone. Just like the 999 before them, they’ll hear that what happened to them was not their fault and does not define who they are or what they can achieve. Your support provides the resources, care, and encouragement they need to move forward and envision a future free from victimization. A little over 10 years ago we started this program, serving the first child in January 2014. Today, as we reach 1,000 youth we want to say thank you. This milestone would not be possible without people like you.
