I'm thrilled to report we have announced the 125 Local Market Finalists for our Remarkable Women initiative; they will now travel to Hollywood for once-in-a-lifetime celebration where 5 will be revealed as Regional Finalists, and 1 will become Nexstar's Remarkable Woman 2025. Special thanks to last year's winner, Jerelyn Rodriguez, who will join us in Los Angeles for the event. Since launching the initiative in 2019, Nexstar Media Group, Inc. has received over 58,000 nominations—including more than 12,000 this year alone. Notably, 70% of nominations come from women, underscoring how deeply this initiative is rooted in women uplifting one another. This year, NewsNation participated in accepting nominations from every DMA across the United States- so this is a truly national celebration of Remarkable Women. Through the Nexstar Charitable Foundation, we’ve donated nearly $500,000 to nonprofits selected by each local winner. This year, we’ll contribute another $175,000, bringing our total to over $650,000 invested to amplify the work of our Remarkable Women in their local communities. To date, we've spotlighted the inspiring stories of over 3,000 women nationwide- across 116 local television markets, and now NewsNation, with on-air, online, social, and in long-form programming—showcasing each woman's achievements, community impact, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
