On February 6, 2025, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) unveiled its first drone-carrier warship, the "Martyr Bahman Baqeri", at the port city of Bandar Abbas.
IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri said at the ceremony that the warship increases Iran's deterrent capabilities and secures its national interests. Iranian Army Chief-of-Staff Mohmmad Hossein Baqeri said the vessel ensures that if conflict is "imposed" on Iran, it will be met with "decisive victory".
