The IRA used a newly developed type of mortar bomb in an attack which killed a civilian working at a joint RUC-Army base at Keady, south Armagh, yesterday. Nigel McCollum, of Sandholes, Co Tyrone, was operating a crane in the security complex when he was caught in the blast from one of three large bombs lobbed over the high security walls. Three workers were slightly injured. Two police officers were injured last night in a bomb attack in the centre of Lurgan, Co Armagh.
