Chris Hurford was born in 1965. His first poem was published when he was 19 years old. Since then his work has appeared in numerous magazines, such as TLS, The Literary Review, Verse, Orbis. This poem appears in his collection Heroes, published by Polygon at pounds 6.95. Chris Hurford will be reading in the Voice Box at the South Bank Centre, London, today at 7.30pm.
