Yaya Sanogo: Once I score my first goal for Arsenal there will be no stopping me

Yaya Sanogo has said once he scores his first Arsenal goal there will be no stopping him.

The Frenchman has failed to impress at Arsenal so far - he has yet to score for the club in 17 competitive appearances in all competitions, and has born the brunt of criticism from many a Gunners' supporter.

The 21-year-old Sanogo, who joined the club from lower league Auxerre in July 2013, has claimed that he is still adapting to the English top-flight, but his game is "evolving".

"Football is the football, but it takes time to adapt,’" he told L'Equipe.

"When you come out of Ligue 2 and you end up in a duel with [Man City's Vincent] Kompany, it is not an easy task.

"On all aspects (of my game) I’ve evolved. When you train with great players every day, you progress. When you play big teams, it helps gain experience.

"The fans expect me to score more, but once the first one goes in they’ll come."

While he has yet to score in a competitive match for the Premier League side, he did score all four goals in the 4-1 pre-season friendly win over Benfica, showing his potential.
