West Brom’s 100 per cent home record in the league is under threat as champions Manchester City travel to the Hawthorns.
But this could prove to be a good time for West Brom to play City as the Sky Blues may be preoccupied with their Champions League fixture against Ajax in midweek and would have seen the majority of their squad on international duty over the past fortnight.
However, with Sergio Aguero hitting top form – scoring in his last three outings for club and country – City may well have enough to see off Steve Clarke’s Baggies.
But it won’t be plain sailing for City as Clarke, in his maiden full-time senior coaching job, has set up West Brom very solidly and only three teams have conceded fewer goals so far than the Midlands club.
