Paris Saint-Germain are considering a record-breaking €125m move to take Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, according to reports.

Spanish sports newspaper Marca suggests the Parisian club's mega-rich owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to make a statement to the world of football by ensnaring last season's Fifa Ballon D'or victor.

The media outlet insists that the Portuguese superstar wants to stay in Spain but it remains uncertain whether the Madrid hierarchy would put up much of a fight to keep their man.

According to the report, published this morning, Ronaldo 'wants to know more details regarding the club's sporting project' and has informed president Florentino Pérez about his concerns.
