MICHAEL SCHUMACHER prepared for his return from his two-race Formula One suspension by recording a best-lap time of 1min 18.84sec during testing at Estoril yesterday - 1.8sec faster than Gerhard Berger's pole position time for last weekend's Portuguese Grand Prix. England's Damon Hill was half a second down on the German driver.
