Letter: Foreign farriers

Sir: I cannot accept the gross overestimate of job losses if hunting is banned (Letters, 17 July). The farrier I use for my donkeys is from the USA and a friend has a Swedish farrier. Both have come to the UK because of the abundance of work available. The same applies to vets, with many coming over here to take up posts from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. There is no prospect of 5,000 unemployed vets and farriers.
