- Els ratolins menjacucs (Apomys) són un gènere de rosegadors endèmics de les Filipines. Estan presents a la majoria d'illes del país, tret de Palawan, l'arxipèlag de Sulu, les i les . Les espècies d'aquest grup pesen entre 18 i 128 g. La cua és igual de llarga, o més, que la resta del cos. Aquests ratolins tenen el pelatge suau i espès. El pèl és més fosc al darrere i més pàl·lid al davant, sovint de color gairebé blanc amb un toc groc ataronjat. Les potes posteriors són bastant llargues i estretes, presenten sis coixinets i tenen els dits 2–4 visiblement més llargs que el dit 5 i l'hàl·lux. Totes les espècies tenen dos parells de mamelles inguinals. (ca)

Mice belonging to this genus are generally called Philippine forest mice and can be found on most islands of the Philippines except in Palawan, the Sulu Archipelago, and the Batanes and Babuyan group of islands. Apomys mice weigh from 18g to 128g. The tail is longer or nearly equal the length of the head and body. The soft and thick fur of these mice is darker on the back while the front fur is paler, often nearly white with a moderate orange yellow wash. The hind feet are moderately long and narrow, have six plantar pads, and have digits 2–4 notably longer than digit 5 and the hallux. All species have two pairs of inguinal mammae. (en)

- Apomys is een geslacht van knaagdieren dat voorkomt in de Filipijnen. Dit taxonomisch complexe geslacht komt in vrijwel de gehele delen van de Filipijnen voor en heeft het grootste aantal soorten van alle endemische Filipijnse geslachten. Haar nauwste verwanten zijn drie andere Filipijnse geslachten, Archboldomys, Chrotomys en Rhynchomys, waarmee het de Chrotomys-divisie vormt.
