Brigadier Robert George William Melsome MBE (16 January 1906 – 3 November 1991) was a senior British Army officer and English cricketer. He saw active service during the Second World War, but spent much of the war as a prisoner of war in Germany. A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler, he played for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club between 1925 and 1934. He also played first-class cricket for the Army and Combined Services in addition to international matches for Egypt and Nigeria.
